Do the pair of you have girlfriends?

Depends why you are asking. If its because you want all 3 of us to go out on a date, the night ending with one of us being 'Lucky Pierre, then yes I am married sorry to disappoint you. If it is simply because I geek out at the car number plates then obviously no.

I did put a wink at the end of that statement but had to remove it as I could not figure out if that made it look like I meant the opposite of the statement and I wanted to be lucky Pierre after all. Just to be clear, its not something I would be interested in.

It's ok! Sorry to of caused offence!

I'm glad your all enjoying them, I've just bought both Sweeney films as well as Regan of ebay so I'll do those once they turn up as well.

I'm enjoying these as well thanks Trig. :)

I thought I'd seen all of these more than once over the years, but going on some of the shots perhaps there are some I've missed!

Sweeney 2 should provide http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=32635 amongst others. ;)

It's been a while since I posted this thread and since then I've also done screenshots for Regan and the Sweeney films, As R_A has done Regan then he's the films.

This is from Sweeney! in 1977.

More great shots - I love these.

Triumph 2000/2500 on a K reg was quite young to be in a scrappie in '77, must have been in a smash or something.

GR8 pink Reliant Regal too! :D

Great stuff Trigger! Thanks for putting these up. I've now got the Sweeney box set but havent opened it yet seeing as it repeated on ITV4 all the time.

I've never seen these metal wheel trims on the old Granadas before, were they Ford items or generic stuff found at 70s Motorfactors:

This has to be the best shot of all:

Genuine Ford jobs. Only seemed to ever be seen on 2.3 GLs.

Sold in Germany on base spec Granadas. Were there ever Mk2s as 2.8iS (not L S or GL S)??

Yep, mate's dad had a 2.8i S years back now, he was some big cheese with Ford I believed. From memory they had a boot and chin spoiler and 'Is' badging.

Edit, like this:

That's identical to me much missed 2.8i. Bilsteins, TRX, Recaros, thicker anti roll bars and a few other bits. Ace car. Mine was A220 JCC.

They also did the 2.8iL which is rarer. Military and Dibble seemed to get most of those. Steel wheels, poverty trim and keep-fit windows.

Ah, these were badged '2.8injection' in Germany, quite late model around 1983/84 I think.

Apologies owed, Pete M is right it was the 2.8i I was thinking of, not IS as I said. Iirc they had fishnet Recaros but Pete will know better.

They were quite a rare sight even when they were new, can't imagine there being too many left now sadly.

Great stuff Trig!

I watched the first Sweeney firm when it was on ITV4 recently. Bit shocked to see the Oxo lady/Mrs Herriott playing a naked dead prostitute.

The main female lead (Diane Keen, in the shot with the Avenger Tiger) was in a lot of 1970s sitcoms playing favourite daughters, prudish girlfriends etc, many were surprised to see her in bed with Regan with her ta-tas out! (well my uncle was, anyway  )

I can only recall ever seeing one "i" and that was an Estate.

There was a 2.8 injection estate for sale recently on the PC forum, but it was immensely rotten underneath and some clown had half-fitted a manual 2.9 to it. Easy job to do unless someone has done half the job and left a load of random bits unconnected.

The Recaros in them are my favourite ones of all. Like 2.8i Capri ones but scaled up just enough for a slightly larger chap.

I'd love a mint 2.8i Granny estate

There's a tatty 2.8 Injection estate parked up by the Wirral Unit. sad to see it just rusting away. :(

That's the one I've Offered to buy? The one with the Merc style alloys?
