My neighbour has just sent his mk2 Mondeo dizzler over the bridge for £211. Now bearing in mind he didn't fill it with sand or concrete is this a good price?

Pretty decent price that..explains lack of uber cheap chod

I've never met your neighbour but I already think he's ace.

Not bad - I got £180 for mine, at the end of June.

If I can find another one the same, for less, at some future point when I actually have some place to work on it, I'll consider myself up on the deal.

£220 for a Mk3 Astra estate without the alloys the other week at Nobles. Mates Merc C200 with a fried ECU but AMG alloys at Henry Grays £450.

I'm fragging the Escort later on today.. Probably to grays in Kirkcaldy - Unless anyone has had a good price elsewhere recently?

The thing has immobilised itself so I've had to hotwire it to get it to run. can't be arsed investigating given its now smoking like a chimney and needs tyres etc anyway

I notice www.cartakeback.com is offering £180 just to lift it from my door but I reckon running it down I'll get better than that...

Sims metals are paying £150 a tonne. After asking around nobody I know wanted my Laguna for £150 so I took it to Sims yesterday minus the alloys and battery.1.2 tonnes so £180,batteries make around a fiver and alloys without tyres seem to be seven quid each.

Had enough of the saab.

I need to scrap it but want to keep the wheels and tyres. It doesnt run at all and no battery in it. Car take back will give me £125 for it collected but with tyres etc.

The tyres cost me over £300 and have only done 100 miles so want to keep them.

Any ideas of how to get rid of it?

It doesnt drive. Engine wont start at all hence binning it off. I could be towed but no PAS and no brakes on the saab will be very scary!

Last Friday at EMC - £175 per tonne and a MkIII Astra Arctic auto fetched £196 :D:D

Alloys went for £20 and CD radio for £30.

Seems a bit of a shame to scrap it, given it's nearly 30 years old. Maybe offer it up here as a project, or is it really that far gone?

Had it up on Car and Classic and also a couple of saab sites but no one is interested.

Honestly it is in not bad state and if you could get it running then it would be fine. It is just i have moved house so working on it is very very difficult. I have spent almost £1k on in it to this point and I dont want to chuck anymore at it. There is a wapping great hole in the boot floor I have discovered.

It isnt worth anything as it is a 5 door and 8v turbo with no APC. Rare yes .. wanted No. 900's seem to be properly at the bottom of prices with loads being broken.

My missus has got a cob on about it and so it has stopped being fun

I live in Ashford Middx.

No interest in mine either. Going to stick it on eBay with my fingers crossed, but otherwise been offered £100 for scrap (London prices, so lower than everywhere else)
