BX Gti 8V - mint

Folks - Sam G asked me if I was in the market for a BX Gti 8V today - in the Fens - 55k? I think on the clock - FSH and concourse condition...chap's looking for £850!!!

cars like this are like flippin buses nothing and then they all come along when you are staggering back from the pub in the rain having drunk all your money with a 3 mile walk!

no Pug205Gtiers - it's far too good an example to break!

anyone interested - drop Sam a line

I think this car has caused quite a stir at Bauer Media, as two people there have mentioned it to me. They should just buy it and give the BX some classic mag publicity!

your name was mentioned during our chat, Iain - Sam said he'd drop you the details on Facebook just to tempt you!!...updated him about your MK1...you could hear horrible wet noises down the phone line¬!

(It's Ian - I'm not Scottish! ). He'd be too late. Neil Campbell's already been trying to tempt me. My heart has already been stolen by my wreck of an estate though. It's bloody great. In an awful way.

If I had 850 nickeroonies that baby would be outside Scooters Towers tout suite and my licence would be in the hands of the DVLA for 12 months about a week later

Tell me about it, I've been trying to rescue a 16v from my boss for years, its a shame to see it wasted :(

I saw this in 2008, I really wish I'd bought it but I wasn't that into French cars back then.

Taxed/MOT'd, arse!

Personally I'd frag that Estate one off Ian, Just class it as being a bit of an adventure and get a decent one you can actually use and enjoy instead of one that will end costing you an arm and a leg and will be forever causing you grieve when it breaks down/fails to bit etc.

I'd imagine the reason everyone else keeps meaning this GTi to you is because they are thinking the same thing, I know it's a bit harsh to say but you know it's true!

Hmmm. It may be absolutely shite, but my estate is pretty close to being unique. Therefore it will not be frag feed. I don't want another Mk2 BX. They're just a bit too toned-down. I've had three of the things (two diesels and a 16v). I bought it knowing it'll cost a LOT to get good again, so there aren't really any surprises lurking.

That's furry muff, I just feel the Estate going to be a lot of work and this would have been a safer option, of course I'm looking forwards to being proved wrong. :D

No, you're absolutely spot on - but I am walking into this expecting a world of pain. For some reason, my brain is convinced that it'll all be worth it.

I reckon YOU should buy it and ditch the Mondano. Everyone must try a BX at some point! :D
