What this actually needs is for someone to say "Right lets have a meet. I'll find somewhere thats kind of in the middle-ish of the country so that the greatest number of people are sort of within reach and we'll have it on this date. Hope some of you can make it"

 

If one person doesn't take this on board and make some decisions then it won't happen at all.

If it were to be at my place how does Sunday 4th September sound, kind of end of Summer meet? Weather in September is often better than August from what I remember. Unfortunately it's not really suitable for camping. I probably ought to get some pics on here of the place.

Buntingford? Yes, that I could do. Almost perfect; I love a good motor along the A120 and a crafty smoke at Birchanger Green. However I'm posh enough to have fuel injection and shit so anywhere really. September is a good month; the shite-ist's best. We all love winter; and that's where it starts.

Can't guarantee I'll be riding down in shite, but I will turn up in something. Here are the odds:

 

3/1 - Citroen C4 - because it mostly works, can get down a motorway without destroying itself and has aircon. Decent carrying capacity and room for other travelling shiters.

 

10/1 - Volvo 480. If I can have it MOT'd and working again for September, there's a better than outside chance I can come down in it. Small amount of room for other shiteists and no problem with motorways thanks to the awesome sticking power of the DRIFT YOKOHAMA PARADAS.

 

20/1 - Peugeot 305 Estate. Excellent carrying capacity if chod is to be ferried over. Room for other shiteists. Fine on motorways but for radiator claart and autochoke FAIL. Also the MOT is up around then.

 

100/1 - Volvo Amazon. Extremely SORN and in need of new front floor, chassis leg and brake lines \ discs \ pads \ calipers \ whatever else has gone on the cock since I laid it up. Motorways good at 68.

 

I can offer lifts to any NW shiters so a seat's there for you Billy if you want it.
