So many random updates. My fav'

On 13-Apr-11 at 14:35:26 BST, seller added the following information:

There is a bee stuck under my summer house and its driving me nuts buzzing around. I tried coaxing it out with a bit of cheese and a jam scone but its having none of it.

Posted

His drawing of Battle Cat is pretty good, and was the point where things got a bit wacky!

Very good sketches. I daren't look at the Q&As because my sides already hurt.

This is great!, I love this comment myself!

Sorry but I ate it in the car which now smells a bit of peperoni but I can fix that, it did that thing that pizzas do you know when its really hot but you try and nibble at it anyway then a bit of cheese and a piece of peperoni slides out and sticks to your chin. Its left a red burn on my chin that looks a bit like the sun emerging from behind a pyramid, its quite arty really

Q: With regards to the bee....if you manage nto free him could you ist him on ebay for me to try and buy.....I saved a bee from a spiders web the other day and in thanks for his newly gained freedom he tried to sting me....ungrateful get.......so I would like your bee to experiment with please...thanks. 14-Apr-11

A: Bees, you really cant trust them. I once tried to catch one bee to sting another bee with in the hope it would go back and explain to all other bees that it was unkind to sting people, I was 7 and got stung.

Maybe I'm just really vicious and a bit cynical, but while the whole thing is absolute genius...

I myself am no beauty box so us both being a bit ugly I never had and insecurities that she would run off with my best friend lol. But she did about a year later! He left his wife, went a bit mad, got sectioned then released, turned out to be an alcoholic and now has pancreatitis, all is well that ends well.

...that's my favourite bit. I like his sense of justice.

That's the funniest thing I have read in ages!

That's the funniest thing on eBay in ages, the drawings were top notch.

Wow!

If the guy is this funny when he's selling a car (and he really is!) he should have his own show, I'd certainly pay to see him.

Thanks for sharing that, it's excellent, well worth a screengrab.

The Focus seller comes across as a self-consciously zany twat.

Posted

My mate turned up in work in a nearly new (but used) bog standard non turbo 1.8 petrol A6 in mint green (with Irish plates). Nice looking car, but it'd probably halved in price by the time he'd driven it home, he'd also paid a couple of grand too much. Green!

Seconded.

It's good stuff...

Did I mention this car has a leather steering wheel? Probably not suitable for vegetarians - not sure?

looks like he'll be making more money from the bloody drawings than from the car itself!

aye, be that as it may if his goal is to sell the car then he's certainly attracted attention to it - made one of hundreds of shite focus's stand out

You do what you can do though don't you? I found it brilliantly done and to be fair, you need a bit of ego to make a difference. Otherwise it'd just be another boring Focus ad. The sketches are just genius (and far better than any car sketch I've ever drawn...)

He's now selling his photos and diagrams.....

Trebor mints aren't even green.

Posted

You can get a green Trebor mint, just look for the one called Spearmint. Polo do the same sort of thing, only with added holes.

Actually, having written all that in present tense, it's possible I could be wrong, both manufacturers could have withdrawn such products from the UK market in the time since I left...

He's thinking of Softmints.

Thanks hirst, for the last 2 days I've been trying to remember the name of the product that had the "Mr Soft" advert and song. (I refuse to use google for stuff like that, it seems like cheating)

Focus advert however, I'm afraid I thought he was selling Teal Deer.....

spotted 1 very tidy silver astra coupe ! dunno why the hate on the focus add,at least he ain't a mong and his advert is getting plenty of attention.
