You never know pog, might turn out to be a little gem.

PWWWAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAA!

It's a good job you spent so long getting your Maxi on the road, you'll have lots of experience reviving dead Hydrogas BL bollocks

I have spoken to the chap flogging it today, he reckons it does run etc. But it's been left 'out' for about 4 years so I am not hopeful about it being rust free.

He says his [late] father bought it as an investment... Unless he gave about £5 for it I think that as investments go that was pretty poor.

Lowest SHITLY so far is £150, which still sounds pricey as a 'backload' to me. Scoundrels!

Train from Poggleswade to N-l-W is £41.50. Plus you'll have a Scooters-style EPIC ROAD TRIP tale to relate when you get home. Get on it man.

If you are getting quoted £1/mile or less you're doing well on Shitly, no-one can be arsed with it for less than that

Congratulations on the purchase, I look forward to hearing your tales of woe...

Drive it back, don't be such a pouf. Take a footpump and AA card, you'll be fine.

Or if you're not, what better way to go? Like the Autoshite version of a viking funeral, fiery death in a brown Allegro 8)

I'd go along with that. Borrow number plates and a tax disc from one the same colour and drive it home.

Fugging hell man, if you're brave enough to buy a turd-tastic Allegro based on two shonky pictures and a single sentence, you're brave enough to pedal it home :D

Train ticket + fuel + a "running" Allegro + 150 mile journey = enormous ballache

Shiply @ £150 sounds like a bargain in comparison

Down to 125 now, i'll give till tea time to see if anyone comes in even less, then all systems go.

If it was me in your position, I'd be Shiplying it - however I reckon you should drive it back like others said.

I hope it turns out to be a reasonable motor but I can imagine it being as rough as fuck.

Posted

Yeah deffo, £125 doesn't go far in fuel terms when you are moving motors around, seems a bargain to me.

Nice buy Pog, hope you manage to do something with it 8)

If it turns out to be a rotten bag of shit with no hope of going back onto the road, save the mechanicals for transplant into an A-series Allegro that someone's had the engine out of for their Mini.
