Just the job if you have a spare 6,000 Euros, as it's for sale. And has anyone else proved that their choice can do the job as well as this :) :

I think I told this story before, but meh.

A few years ago, I was part of the "Random Nights" VW collective. A reason to hoon around the Yorkshire countryside, if you like.... monthly meetings that were more driving, less sitting in pubs sipping a lemonade. The route was never decided in advance, hence the club name.

We got a call from a friend of a member, his lass was going to a prom and wanted something different for her and her mates to turn up in. We can do different!! Picked them up from Sheffield and headed over to Rotherham in convoy.... from memory, a multicoloured 1303 Beetle, my Type 3 Fastback, my ex's slammed-to-the-floor '65 Beetle, a rusty splitscreen camper, a stock 1200 beetle and the creme de la creme, a Brasilia with a 2276 lump in.

I have to admit, I felt a bit naughty..... as the other kids got dropped off in horrible generic american limos, our eyes caught sight of the gravel carpark. Picture 6 teenagers in party frocks and hired suits stumbling through a dustcloud..... we made a hasty exit!

I know limo is common but it is ever green. If you need other options then you can hire a bus for school prom.

Bump for a real thread.

I think turning up in these would be pretty classy, in an understated way.

First time I drove past the 2B duo, it made me appreciate the wit of the owner (as well as their taste in car's, house etc). drool.gif

We should steal the numberplate and place it upon the only vehicle it is suitable for. A beige Mercedes-Benz G300D.

2be and not 2b - nice cars, nice house on the embankment!

Cheggers - what was the transport of choice?

We ended up with a 1932 Austin Taxi Landaulette. I'll try to find a pic.

Kids around here wouldn't be impressed with one of these. ^^^

Ancient Taxi is cool though.
