Hmmmm.

I may not be able to make this now - was supposed to be going to Bristol tomorrow but for various and complicated reasons that isn't happening and the the only other day I can do it would be the Sunday of Chumpley Castle so that might be how it has to be. Not best chuffed but hey ho.

Anyway, so if anyone wants my ticket then drop me a PM.

Might still get there, might not but I won't know til next week so thought I'd offer the ticket whilst theres still time.

No way Mr Lobon, you HAVE to go!

I know. Thing is, Sista_Lobsta has just had a baby, was supposed to be going down to see her / them tomorrow but baby still in hospital so we can't (hospital won't let children visitors in unless they are siblings and it probably wouldn't be right to let Mini Me sit in the car whilst we go in what with him only being 13 months old and all). Only probable other day would be that Sunday. Hence the problem.

Might make it yet though, I'm working on a plan...

Right, my MOT is going to lapse as the garage can't do the work until next Monday so sadly that's me out :(

Anyone want my ticket?

Posted

Anyone meeting up beforehand and if so where and at what time please? I might be able to jog along to Lymm or something but will depend on the time and whether my daughter is/isn't coming along.

If anyone wants my mobile number please pm me, sometimes it's worth having a contact in case of any hold ups, problems or uncertainty where we will be inside the show area. Be warned mobile reception at the castle is slightly worse than having two plastic cups and seventeen miles of damp string so sometimes TXT MSGS 2-FRM UVA PPL IZ DA BST BET M8.

I'm staying over near Crewe on the Sat night. If I don't manage to hook up in the morning are we asking for Autoshite on the gate or a more politically correct group name?!!!

Coggers (of NSJC/RR white Firenza fame), Mr Imp and myself were planning on arriving at Lymm for around 8.30-8.45ish. We're setting off from M1/M62 interchange at 7.30ish.

Drop me a PM with your number Billy (and anyone else that thinks I should have their number) just in case.

Tell 'em you're with HBF. I forgot to write it on the tickets myself soz but it's probably worth everyone doing so before hand so when you get over the bridge they'll know where to send you.

I'll pm you with my number and see if I can get up to Lymm, cheers.

I think me, the other car that's with me, possibly El Watanabe and Mr S.Shite of this parish are planning on meeting at Lymm at about 8.30 as well.

I'm in Crewe, you can meet at mine in the morning and follow us over there if you like?

Yep, I'll be at Lymm about 8.30.

Looking forward to this :D

So what time are we actually getting there? I'm going to make my own way over.

Posted

Planning on leaving about 9.00am if I go straight from here Tim so should be there for about 9.30 or so.

Posted

Unless it's absolutely chucking it down, I should be there at around 10:30ish. Sadly, I've got an errand to run before hand which is on the way. I'll be making my own way there too as it's only 25/30 minutes from me.

Whilst I'm not exhibiting (is a 20 year old near enough immaculate Escort 1.4LX worthy enough, yet?), I'll be around and about for much of the day, I suspect.

£8 to get in, isn't it?

Hey Mk5 it's free if you park outside somewhere (i.e don't come in via the lodge house entrance) and cadge a lift through the gate with someone who is displaying their car ;)

Your car would be suitable by the way as the age limit is something like pre-1993.

Posted

I thought it was pre-96? Pre-93 is an issue for me.

How many people can you "smuggle in" ... in the car ? :)

Hope to catch everyone at Lymm at half 8 (If i've calculated the route correctly)

I think they've limited it to something like two adults and two kids or four adults this year. Shame really as it might have been a laugh getting a J4 crew bus and packing the thing out with day trippers.

Hey, if anyone's a bit confused about forthcoming important dates I have three, yes THREE Autoshite calendars left. I'll bring them along in case anyone's desperate from some bottom quality chod.

Posted

Hey Billy. I dunno if I have paid for my ticket or not- I can't remember!

Posted

The cars been cleaned and polished and is now getting rained on. There seem to be more scratches and rusty bits than I remember ..... I hope I won't lower the tone too much.

Lymm's not really on my route, so any other meet-ups planned?

Posted

As darkness falls, I'm calling it a day on the marathon Chumley prep-fest. I've managed to keep the BX going up and down and doing most things it should. Here's hoping it stays LHM-tight.

No danger of it having a polish or the t-cut it so badly needs; no shortage of scratches and rusty bits here too, so Skattrd, you're not alone, and I'd like to think we'll fit right in. On our stand at least.

Is the AS banner coming?

We plan to be at Lymm Services at 8:15/8:30-ish. So if any of you spy a slighlty nervous and odd looking couple hanging around an off-white Citroen off of the 80s, that would be me and Mrs.KJ - please come and put us at ease... (I've never met a real person from an internet forum before  ) Either that or mug us for the £10 I'll have in my back pocket for Dave_4dr. Don't forget to throw those dirty magazines in the boot for us mate!

Posted

:lol::lol: at 'lowering the tone'. Skatt, believe me you'd have to go a bleeding long way to lower the tone if you're worrying about cleanliness. I polished my car at the show once and felt like a social leper.

Tim: nobody's paid! Cash on the day please, that way I can buy some useless load of tat from the autojumble to clog up my shed.

I'll almost certainly be going straight there. Both of the 'vettelets may be going though I SRSLY doubt my lad will be out of bed anywhere near in time.
