Well as usual its taken me an age to get round to posting up pics and info about my latest machine so here it goes.

I had been after a ca for years and what with the prices of these going up i knew id have to get one sooner rather than later. One day near the end of november im off work sick and i found this at a reasonable price on ebay, got a quote on shipley for delivery that i was happy with,a couple of hours later im the proud owner of this 1960 Bedford ca dormobile. The paint is absolutely terrible and theres no camping fittings but its mot'd and taxed and a good runner.

My plans are to fit a minimal interior in time for the summer, then hopfully a respray next winter. I got some info with it saying it was restored about 88-89 and its name was cherry,im not one for naming my cars but i had named it baby snakes before i even got it because for some inexplicable reason it reminds me of the frank zappa song.

Also a bit of advice for those of you after a fanny magnet get an old camper, the amout of young ladies that have invited themseles to stay in it is unreal(ok there all mates but they wouldnt all want to stay in a tent with each other let alone me).

Sorry for the shit pics i will get better ones at the weekend

Lovely! Nice to see one that hasn't been plate-raped, local Essex plate too.

Wow!, I love these, especially with the sliding door, Autoshite is full of win lately!

VX plate seems apt given the engine. Lovely. So much cooler than a blown-up Beetle.

Cooler than a polar bears bum sat on an iceberg. 8)

Nice work, Greaz. Thats a pretty snazzy old bit of kit. I hope you drive it about with the doors open all the time.

That looks great, I can see why it's such a clunge magnet.

If you need any bits I know where there's a mint* one sitting.

One of my customers was selling a slidey door pick up, it's a left hooker from turkey, minky but full of 'patina' it sailed through the mot

the guy wanted a bag o sand for it, good brakes and steering but had an under geared back axle and overheated at speed
