Got to be a retired fire truck (yes, I still have my Matchbox one...) but wow, thanks for posting, I love it! Re the Ford D: it took the manufacturers an awful long time to wake up to the fact that drivers spend vast tracts of time in the cab, and therefore need something decent. 8 hours? Bloody amateur...

Poor old XR3i, been off the road since 2001. Apart from those crap aftermarket alloys it looks fairly standard :) hope it gets saved.

I like that yellow Fiesta and the Mark 1 Cavalier.

Shame if they are going to be scrapped, I take it that is their likely fate!!

Do you think there is any chance of them being sold complete?

Fiesta is to be cleaned so I can put it on Ebay for him. If that 1300 Cavalier was at the right price when / if it comes up for sale I will have it myself.

I like the Blue Escort cab, KYG plate, same as my Dads old Rover Sterling which was D233KYG. Is the K11 Micra to be broken up? Might be interested in some parts.

Chevette looks far too good to be binned. What's the script with these cars please Mr 1725?

A friend of mine had amassed a quantity of cars over a period of time he thought were too good to be scrapped or saved from banger racing. Some are to be done up when time allows - some are broken up for these cars and some end up on Ebay when I put them on for him. HE is a Ford fan of the 60s-70s-80s cars/vans and his son buys xr3 / xr2 / convertibles hence a few there. Allthough clearing space they are still buying what comes up at the right prices.

At the VBOA parts day earlier in the year I was speaking to a 1300 Mk1 Cavalier owner - who told me there were only two known survivors. That one definitely looks restorable, and would increase the global population by 50%

Must post some pix from that day - some lovely old stuff in the car park

That ZX rocks!

So it sould - reading the side it was a record breaking car (when new I assume as I cant find info on the net). 118.16 mph over 12 hours (Diesel) And 18 other national records broken. Interesting but I cant find the info :?

The Vel Satis seems like good value for money. These were about £25-30k when new.

That Type 2 VW may have been a Private Ambulance. :? I think they now use Toyota Hiaces in my area.
