The last 3 cars are Jean-Pierre Wimille Prototypes from the late 1940s. With mid-mounted Citroen 1.9 litre or Ford / Simca flathead V8 2.2. Less than 10 cars built. JPW was a racing driver, killed in an accident on the track in 1949.

What's this? Some old fucked looking French thing?

It's a Renner 20 / 30 prototype pictured in 1975, altered and deliberately 'scruffed down'. A cunning disguise, although many looked like this by the early 80s.

Brv looks to have bits of 9 & 18 in it.

The ford corcel is south American & Reno 12 underpinning.

Candidate for AS calendar? The down-at-heel, end of era, air of the thing means it would be perfect for October.

That looks like they cut the cab off a low loader and somehow attached it

I'm sure that'd have the police spitting their tea out if it came past them today :D

83-86 Ford US LTD. Definitely nothing like a GM Senator. Any resemblance was purely co-incidental. Some had the 2.3 Pinto 'Lima' four, all had auto trans. Top spec was a 165bhp 5-litre but a 3.3 'Thriftpower' six was available too. The name Thriftpower sets alarm bells ringing in my head.

Urban roadtests achieved 16.5mpg from the 2.3 litre four.
