Madman Of The People Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 11 September 2013 A-Team Van update! In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem...if no one else can help...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...The A-Team! . michiel and garethj 2
cort16 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 At least that A-Team van's the real deal. Here they're usually lashed up out of old Day Vans with the stripe going over the window on the side or shagged out smiley faced Ford Transits.

PhilA Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 8th October 2013 update! The world's last running (Well, I think it still runs, anyway?) Chevrolet Chevette. There's a beige one not far from here that's just had its' engine out, they've pumped the tires up and given it a wash. I think we might be in for a Chevette Resurruection. It even has the appropriate red-lead primer daubed on with a paintbrush around the arches. --Phil
Madman Of The People Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 I saw this thing pulling out of a gas station and had no idea what it was. Turns out it's a Phantom Pharaoh, an ersatz Rolls Royce built around a Lincoln Town Car. According to Jalopnik, it's one of only 20 made before the fibreglass moulds were destroyed. Should have destroyed them sooner, it you ask me! http://jalopnik.com/for-49-900-bling-in-the-new-year-1491648395 .. Junkman, Skizzer and cort16 3
rml2345 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 That Phantom Pharaoh looks like they've tried to copy a Mitsuoka of some sort but failed miserably. It's God awful.
spike60 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Good stuff, particularly like the Corvair. Good to see the 164, I used to have one which was probably the thirstiest car I've owned and I've had a few shockers!
Madman Of The People Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 A couple of German classics for your viewing pleasure. Crusty looking E21 with MASSIVE Yankee-spec bumpers for sale. Body looks much better in photos than it did up close. ... Clean looking Beetle. .. brickwall and Junkman 2
brickwall Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Loving the beemer. looks odd with the extra added rubbery no kill ppl bumper
cort16 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 If I was BMW I'd have rather have not sold them all than let them leave the dealership looking like that.If you removed them and fitted euro spec ones would you get your fingers wrapped?

No, nobody will care. A few enthusiasts have retrofitted Euro-spec bumpers to their E21s and early E30s, which had similarly hideous bumperage.
brickwall Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 But what happens if you hit a pregnant women carrying a pile of puppies?
Vin Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 That UK spec Fiat 500 came from Belfast. A chap called Jim Magill took it over for Fiat Freakout 2008. They drove it from New York to San Francisco. It's now in Lane's motor museum. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/29/fiat-500-makes-trek-across-america/ Another resident of the museum is the Panda 4x4 (E505 JPY known as Juppy) that Jim also drove across America. He first did the America thing in a 1991 Panda 1000S and has also taken over a Fiat Multipla. All for the Fiat Freakouts. brickwall, Shep Shepherd and Junkman 3

vulgalour Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Shame the back end of that Datsun is all stoved in really. This is a quality tat spotting thread with real quality tat of the interestingly interesting and puddingy McBland sorts of things that appeal to me.

Madman Of The People Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 Classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer. . Skizzer, mercrocker, mouseflakes and 5 others 8
mercrocker Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Awesome thing....There was a time when that would have towered over everything else in the car park.
MarvinsMom Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 i'm lovin the wagoneer, dunno if it is the formica down the sides, or that they were in alsorts of crap 70's and 80's telly programs but it looks the business. its almost as classy as a range rover classic, IMHO.
danthecapriman Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I love the Wagoneer, one is definitely on my bucket list. Although I prefer the similar Jeep 'Gladiator' pickup truck version, like Val and Earl used in the Tremors movies! Great looking old things! I prefer the Gladiators more utility spec front end styling. eddyramrod 1
Skizzer Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 +1 on Wagoneers. And have a Gladiator spot from my last trip to North Carolina: 1962-68 Jeep Gladiator fire truck by Skizzer, on Flickr mercrocker, mouseflakes, brickwall and 4 others 7

It doesn't have the exoskeleton-style roll cage, which means its not one of the 500 US-spec examples sold by Land Rover for the 1993 model year. eddyramrod, Skizzer, Junkman and 2 others 5
NorfolkNWeigh Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 There's lots of dodginess involving Defenders imported to America. Since they became fashionable and worth shitloads, people have been ringing late 110's onto over 25 year old identities. In some states the authorities are getting pissed off with the blatant selling of brand new Defenders as 25 years old ones for over $100,000.This one could be someone that's put a bit more effort into his ringing so as to avoid this
