Yet Another Newbie

Hello!

 

Been stuck in the house two days so finally signed up. Been lurking here as a guest for months now which sounds a teeny bit weird really...

 

Have a very short car history, only passed just over a year ago and currently own a Volvo 740GLE Mills-O-Matic, bought from the bottom of a muddy driveway with no mot/tax.

So far its needed a new alternator and some other silly consumables. Also stuck under 2 feet of snow.

 

 

Previously had a Volvo 850SE, and a Toyota Yaris. Shite does run a bit in the family though, with dad having had a brace of Rivas and an R25 amongst other things.

Ah yes... The indicator/sidelight thing...

Funnily enough they don't fit particularly well! The front end doesn't light up properly anyway, due to a bent mounting plate. Waiting for the spring to sort that, not digging through 2 feet of snow to take the front end to bits. Although a combination of sunshine and boredom is a dangerous thing...

I'd have more Volvos but the neighbours would moan. Something about having no space for assorted euroboxes. Beginning to miss it really, haven't seen it in a couple of days because of the bloody snow.

Time to get the shovel out and find it!

If you EVA get any shit from your neighbours try this -

 

buy a taxed and MOT's reallly nasty 15 year old van - Tranny or a renner or somthing that is going to have some nasty rust -

 

get some nitromors and spread liberally on the paint to make it look even more shit.

 

Get a copy of the daily record, Razzel and a bottle of Irn Bru and leave them on the dash top

 

Paint:

 

"O'Shaughenessey and Sons, Driveway Paving" on the side and park it RIGHT outside the offending neighbours house and leave it there until the tax disc runs out when you flog it on ebay for £100!
