ok, owning a 205 Gti is a red rag to a bull when schemie pikey hooded scrotes are around. The missus just called - last night the wee wankers broke into the pug - found they couldn't start it cos of the immobilizer and instead nicked the stereo - removed it by booting 7 shades of shite out of the central consol and ripping all the wiring out - so car now has a destroyed wiring loom and the sterio nicked - the insurance company are lifting it today because it won't drive and will no doubt write it off -

 

really pissed off they have destroyed a classic in order to get a stereo to put into their crappy saxo

The Circus came to town (OK -village) last night. Knowing this, I've removed all the batteries.

SOrry to hear about that Scooters, it aint nice, I know. Sodding little fucks need thier hands removed from them, Saudi punishment style.

 

Some twat tried to break into my Sterling once. Got as far as bending the door back before the rather high pitched alarm went off. Thank goodness it had an alarm otherwise who knows. Didnt do much good for my door though, wind noise still gets through.

 

Although the car had an alarm the advice from the cops was to have a visual deterrent, like a steering lock or something. Most little twats these days see an 'old car' and think its fair game.

 

I hope you can buy it back and sort something out.

I assume that the car is still legally your property until the insurance company agree a deal with you.

They can't exactly refuse to give it back until a deal is negotiated making it their property (I would have thought).

It's probably just because I'm still young enough to wince at the potential cost of insuring anything but why did you bother telling them? If you know they'll write it off as its old even though it'll be cheap enough to fix then fix it
