Ebay Advice Please

I could do with some assistance on a minor ebay problem:

I was after a window motor for my Lexus, the seller had two in the same listing and agreed to sell me one at a reduced price. I used the buy it now and asked the seller to send me an invoice with the new amount but he's saying I have to make him an offer, the problem is that I can't make him an offer because once you use the buy-it-now option the make an offer box disappears.

The seller is now begining to irritate the living crap out of me and all I can see on ebay's help section is that the seller has to agree to cancel the transaction yet numptybollox is insisting I have to make an offer through the ebay channels, how?

you can go to bid retraction saying you entered wrong amount..

Once the BIN button has been hit the only way you can alter the price is if the seller does it.

Really he needs to "mutually agree" to not complete the sale and then tart again from scratch.

Simply serve him up a fresh steaming pile of neg and buy one off someone less thick.

i think the retraction option also allows for not getting any joy from seller

so he offered you a deal but now won't budge....

Once the Buy It Now has been hit you cant retract the bid. Its dun, bought and yours.

Ah yes but I was in contact with him before using the buy it now button so we both knew exactly what I was buying i.e only one at a reduced price. I thought he could send me an updated invoice with the correct amount.

Many thanks for your replies gents, I'd like to buy you all a copy of Razzle and a large gobstopper for your help...I won't of course but the intention was there :)

He's pissed because you hitting buy-it-now at the full price means he has higher fees to pay I guess?
