Cavcraft Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Tbh it seems a bit unoriginal/bandwagon jumping when other people added their Maestros to the list.
Pete-M Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 Indeed, it was funny when there was just one Maestro, but as soon as the others started it just went shit. One of the other Maestros is one of the PC forum crew...
VWPowered Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 i do quite like this and this kinda has a cool thing going on too its a beta whats not to like et putain
FredTransit Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Damn you can't vote on the mobile internet any more
Father Ted Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 The winner was Richard Hughes and his Austin Maestro, proving that in the age of the internet quality isn't everything (or anything).YAY!
garethj Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 The winner was Richard Hughes and his Austin Maestro, proving that in the age of the internet quality isn't everything (or anything). The first and last time Autoshite wins a prize in a car competition Congratulations to the winner, richly deserved!

Lord Sterling Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Congrats mate. Well deserved. I wonder what the others with thier BANGiNZ MOtaHZ think of this, I'd love to see thier reaction
eddyramrod Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Yay, well done Richard! Dave-A35lad isn't going to be best pleased! You might have to bribe him with some of that beer...
cms206 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Well done Richard, and indeed well done all of us... there was only going to be one true winner of the USC crown!
CreepingJesus Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 'Tis as it should be. To the victor, the laurels. Surprised no-one put up a Victor, or a Laurel. Maybe next time...
ChinaTom Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I am battling my way through Castro's biography at the moment. I can tell from reading about all of his "unconventional war tactics" he would be very proud of you. Truly revolutionary! I expect someone in the marketing dept for the sponsors (assuming so by the logos on the page) will have also had a Eureka moment. I fully expect the next Autoglym ad to ditch the DB5 and have a deeply shiney Ambassador VdP instead
garethj Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I am battling my way through Castro's biography at the moment. He has a Tatra 603 you know, when I was in the Tatra club we sent him a membership form
ChinaTom Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 I am battling my way through Castro's biography at the moment. He has a Tatra 603 you know, when I was in the Tatra club we sent him a membership form I haven't got to that bit yet! Wouldn't surprise me if he had a Lada engine fitted to it though! I expect he'll claim credit for the design too. I'm up to the bit where he is winning the Sierra Maestro battles - and that, without a doubt is the finest example of re-instating thread discipline I will ever be responsible for.
FredTransit Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 YESSSS! Nice one, shall we go and lend some support when Richard goes for the beer? I am sure the other competitors and the organisers would love to see our old chod! NOT!
Cavcraft Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Result! Are you going to get some scantily clad nubile young birds crawling all over it now?
garethj Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Result! Are you going to get some scantily clad nubile young birds crawling all over it now? It's a beige Maestro, he probably gets that all the time
barrett Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 The USC show is this weekend, so hopefully we'll know if Dicky got his beer or not by tomorrow
Mr Lobster Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 So did you go then? Saw a few chaved up wank mobiles on the way up the M6 that appeared to have been to USC.
FredTransit Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 No reply yet. Do you think he went and they lynched him?
Angrydicky Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 No reply yet. Do you think he went and they lynched him?Haha, no I didn't go in the end. Just had this email through from them: 'Hi Richard, Congratulations on winning the virtual USC competition, it’s a shame you weren’t at the event to collect your trophy but if you could send me your address through I will get it sent out in the post. Thanks James' So..happy days! Of course a picture of the Maestro with the trophy on the bonnet will be posted up, naturally!
boobydoo Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 The fact that you won really gives me that warm feeling that everythings still alright with the world. Bliss!!!
