Cor, eGT saloon, that's a bit scarce.

Great choice of taxi, as long as the engine is kept well-oiled and the gearbox hasn't seen abuse (some of them lose 5th gear) they are unburstable.

I still have a hankering for one of these, the 1.6 and even the diesel Primera P10s I had were very good to drive, these must be brilliant with 150bhp and fettled suspension.

Hey, Nice car Mister! 8)

I remember the motoring press slating these when new for being dull and bland but i really rate them, They seem a like a nice alternative to a Mondeo or Vectra (Or a Sierra and Cavalier seeing that they came out in 1992) and are very easy to drive and comfy.

Mechanically it's superb, engine and box are lovely. Tons of service history and seems to have been owned by a woman for yonks, which explains the lack of Nismo stickers and daft wheels.

I've always liked the P10, but this thing is absolutely absurd - really quick and comfortable too. The handling is amazing, no roll whatsoever, it's not even that crashy to be in. Nice big leather seats help too.

Also the radio goes really loud, I'm going to drive it around with the sunroof down irritating everyone.

Leather? Nice. I thought the GT left the range before P-reg.

I challenge you to find a Carina E GTi next!

Hey this looks great. Are these RWD????? I think thats the key question here.

Sounds like a cracking find/

I am insanely jealous of your 'powerful profile', 'youthful exuberance' and 'mature poise'. Shame your old fashioned saloon doesn't have the slippery aerodynamics of the hatchback though.

Posted

Yeah well, aerodynamics count for nothing when it comes to picking up chicks. It's all about the boot, they're harder to escape from.

Great find there Hirst, nicely done there. Didnt know these had leather seats, I demand an interior pic now! Are they electrically operated?

Posted

Here's some leather.

Dunno if they're electric. Don't think so. Never really looked.

A Carina E GTI that hasn't been to the moon and back you mean ? :?

Now I do like that. Comfy and quick without being obvious. They are a nice looking car as well, I'd quite happily have one.

Posted

I´ve got the same, only black. And from Tomica Limited...

I can confirm this car is certifiably QUALITY, having driven it and ridden in it. I even had a 'complimentary' free HIRST CABS free trip back to my hateful bastard car!

GREAT TIMES.

That interior looks a lovely place to spend some miles.... I'd seriously think about one of these when the time comes!

I'd assume 150bhp is enough to keep up with the traffic too. Hmmmmm. How much do these go for then?

Dunno about it being free. Hirst Cabs have a unique way of dealing with fare dodgers, comes from one of the South African drivers. Also a useful way of getting rid of spent part-worns.

Apparently the GT is a very good car indeed. Just got ignored as it had the wrong badge

I can also confirm the Qual'ness of this car. Very well apointed, nice colour, good looking yet somewhat undersated and under-rated.

Maybe a bit fancy for our man Hirst though
