As I have a bit of time on my hands (see Grumpy post...) I decided to go out on my bike and get snaps of all the local "I must take a pic of that one day" spots. All within a 2 mile radius of my house 8)

Next-door neighbours AX (with period Godfrey Davis sticker still in the back window)

Good pictures; I love the MKX.

One thing that has puzzled me for a while, why does everyone call MBGs "Sherpa coupes"?

I have actually looked for vans "modified" with an angle grinder in people's pictures a few times! Anything is possible on Autoshite!

Didn't see any, then I guessed...

Good work Cheggers.

It's good to get out on the bike and shite see from time to time.

Is that Carlton a CDX ?

It's done to muddy the good name of what is a quite agricultural and outdated vehicle, even at its time of introduction. Things were much improved of course once the Sherpa was fitted with the Marina's O-series engine.

Wasn't the best spec a 'diplomat'? Usually packing a 2.6 and an autobox?

Best spec was Diplomat but the best model was the 3.0i CDX Estate just for sheer power!, Wasn't there also a Diamond spec model in the range as well?

Edit- Yes there was.

I think it's a 911 with those bumpers. MkX is amazing, and that kit car is one of the worst designs i've ever seen! I wonder if it'll ever be finished? (No I don't - i'm 99% certain it wont be)

These;

I like very much, particularly with those alloys. A lad who used to work for my Dad had one of these (I think it was his mums though)

His mate had an early Audi 100 he used to thrash around, blew up the engine and buoght a ropey Cortina.

Eveytime I see one of those Escorts it reminds of, "curtains" hair styles (A style I used to sport) bomber jackets, baggy white jeans, kickers shoes, early 90s trance/techno/dance music.

The early 90s, those were the days.........

Thats a Midtec Spyder. Agreed they do look a bit weird but they apparently had excellent handling and were well made :?

Looking further into this: It seems that the Midtec Spyder was designed by Lee Noble of Ascari fame. :o

D'oh, I was going to mention that!

..Although I think he is more famous for the Ultima and Noble cars - and hopefully in the future the Fenix
