The longest car I've owned was a 1977 Ford LTD wagon at 5667mm.

I think the car I've owned the longest might be my '95 Mark VIII. I bought it in Chesterfield not all that long after moving to the UK, either 2013 or 2014. It spent so much time in German import limbo that it only was years later that I actually started driving it regularly.

Currently needs a gearbox after the original one shat the bed on my way back from Radwood 2 years ago.

If not the Lincoln it's my Aspen silver E39 528i which I bought in early January 2014. It's not my first car but really feels like it. It's been a fairly rough example so hardly anything on it is still original, especially after I got it. I basically retrofitted as many factory options as I could (and still have a few more to come) plus replaced pretty much all the suspension, wheels, exhaust, interior, sunroof etc.

I drove it for another year or so after registering it here in the UK, it needs jacking points and outer sills now though, I got a parts donor ready for it.

Neither of the two will probably ever leave my ownership either.

I've had this for 11 years next week.   You can bury me in it (this isn't an immediate invitation, but maybe eventually).

As for physical length, I don't dwell on that.  Everyone's lying anyway.

The ZT-T was 4792mm. The Routemaster was 27' 4" (we don't do metric measurements for 1960s buses). But when you put the two together they don't look that different.

The car I owned the longest was an '05 Passat B6 1.9 TDI saloon (4 years, 6 months).

It's also the longest I've owned, at 4765mm.
