That looks ace, you've had more luck than I had on my Saab search! I am rather jealous!

I wouldn't worry about the mileage discrepancy, it was 10 years ago back when it may have made a difference to the value of the car but not now.

Just going through the folder now, it’s about an inch thick.

In paperwork I can see clutch and cambelt kits over the last 10 years, clutch was renewed 2014 at 167k, it’s on 188k now so that’s well in,  cam belts kit, tensioners no date on that one or mileage it just says supplied and fitted. I shall dig deeper but I’ll likely get that booked in again anyway. Service history from original owner up to 2023. The chap I bought it from serviced it himself and has had it approx 1 year.

I would say, it’s mechanically sound!

Going through the folder ive found a wee key, Must be for unlocking the doors only? I'll have to get a spare done!

Nice one, congrats on finding a great looking example. Consider the miles it's done yearly over the last few years it certainly must have been owned by someone who really cared about it.

Chap I bought it from was doing around 1,200 per month sometimes more. Plenty of receipts to back up the servicing he has done and replacement of parts such as Driveshafts, Prop shaft, Good tyres and general routing maintenance. He bought it from A chap who had bought it new (Original bill of sale is in the folder). So makes me the 3rd keeper. It's definitely been kept in fine mechanical fettle. And so it shall be kept that way.

The guy I bought it from met me at Piccadilly station, when I got in I was already agog at how nice the interior is - to say pristine is an understatement!!!

Bluetooth on the MMI as well... Fantastic!

I *may be on the look out for a parts canon / donor car. With this being black if I can find another black broken one... least I'll have spare panels... doors.. boot lid etc. etc..

Though there are plenty of Groups on FB that break Allroad's, parts are readily available. I shall start collecting.

Do I dare tell you all how much I paid for all of this car ??? lol you may be surprised.

It was less than 2k.... but more than 1k. Half way in between!!! Which I think is a BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats a lot of car for the money!

If it received everything it ever needed (making half of the car practically new) then that's really not a bad deal. If anything the forum A8 D3 with over 220k miles has proven that maintenance is everything. The car felt like not even having half the miles, it does however also prove that you need to stay on the ball to keep it that way. Fingers crossed this one will be a good one!

Thanks mate, yeah I’ll keep on top of what I can everything else it will go into the garage for.

I keep looking at the bloody thing, it’s got such a great stance lol

The problem with the higher range Audis is that they can have some very expensive parts which by the time 180-200k miles comes around, it is only a matter of time.

Hopefully this one treats you well!

Could be a valet key, opens the door and starts the car but won't open boot or glovebox

That does look smart! Well bought!

Thanks! For the longest time I’ve not enjoyed driving but this is another level of motoring! It’s very lovely.

Ive enjoyed every minute of the drive from Hull to Scarborough and back. Headlights are a bit shit, but most cars have shit headlights!

Couple of little niggles, passenger door has dropped (TADTS) so I you close it very very gently - any force and it won’t close. Drivers door keeps playing tricks on my from the outside - does he want to let me in does he not? Sometimes takes a few goes of his handle to let me in.
Rear wiper is always on, not sure why. It’s always been on with the previous owner as well, I’m hoping there’s a fuse I can pull for it until I can get it sorted properly.

Other than that, Wow!

You can probably replace the door hinge pins relatively easily if those are the cause for the sagging. Usually something hardly anybody would consider doing on a car this new.

Does it have Xenon?

No I don’t think it does, coming home had the front fog lights on in addition to headlights they were that bad lol.

The drivers door issue is possibly/probably the door control module on it's way out , there's a micro switch that's causes the fault...

Mine plays up when cold due to someone using that awful white grease ! as soon as it warms up it's ok 😒

Looks very nice  though, does the suspension rise and fall ok?

Yep suspension is absolutely spot on. Rises and Falls exactly as it should. Its had new bags all round very recently.. Clutch was done at 167k in 2018, it's on 188k now. Cambelt/Injection belt and all associated tensioners look to have been done around 2012. So I may need to get that soon. That was done at 128k.

Ill keep a look out for door modules then, I'll start parts collecting!

The drive to Scarborough.. was lovely. Power delivery is so smooth! I have him on Level 2, feels most comfortable. I can live with his little niggles for now.. they are not bothering me to be honest.

I would like to upgrade the headlights though..might as well of had candles on the bonnet last night lol.

Her 2007 z4 has xenons. They're shit as well. I get the feeling more modern headlight design and lens materials are to blame for a lot of shit output. I've had much older cars with far better headlight output than a lot of moderns.

The Espace has superb headlight action. Which surprised me really but they are big lights likely due to the size of her as she's a big lass.

I wonder whether theres a brighter set of bulbs I can put in the Audi lights.

Have you replaced the bulb units? The gas goes off over time and they get duller ... The smax wasn't great put a new pair of xenon units in and was night and day
