Continuing on the Italian theme, I think the Alfa Giulietta and MiTo have quite nice tail-lights also, incorporating LEDs in a pleasingly ‘retro’ way

It's the white lights, they are just wrong. I'm not bothered about the paint and a full length wood dash is fine in the right setting.
