In fairness to RR it's always been about lightly (or otherwise) modifying old cars and there is plenty of worthwhile stuff to read on there. There are also plenty of bloody good people who use the place.

It's just the snivelling that really bugs me, if people want to be mods they should just ask.

Yeah, Godwin's law... but it's not a proper actual law that can't be ignored (like, say the first law of thermodynamics) or even a legal type "ignore at your peril" law (like murder..) more a rule quoted by twats who want to derail a discussion.

 

FWIW - pretty much the whole second world war is "not funny" IMO, I'm not condoning hitler refs or racism but I find it odd that there is a special rule for hitler but not the other historical madmen out there.

It is amazing the cash some folk will spunk in order to buy a load of wolfsburg pish - I mean I am a great fan of VWs especially Mk1 and Mk2 golfs but the aircooled mob are a bit odd to say the least -

 

the outrageous prices paid by James and Jessica from Battersea on VW campers so they can go to the festivals is extraordinary - I had a look myself this summer and the worse later ones let alone the classics are not to be had for under 5 grand! this for a shit 1.5 sewing machine deathtrap!!!

 

so that's why I flicked them the Vs and bought the Leyland Sherpa - if I am going to drive around in a crap camper van then it WILL be a BRITISH crap camper van by GOLLY and no sausage eating, pole bashing, queuebarging bosch is going to talk me out of it!
