Corsa B - little mint green dream machine

@MrGTI6's post above made me realise I haven't posted about the mint green dream machine for some considerable time...

The Corsa B is generally doing Corsa B stuff very well. Mileage is well down since my December retirement as I no longer need to drive to work. I sometimes feel bad that it just does local pottering so after nipping to the  local Toolstation/Screwfix I go the looong way home to stretch it legs, get the cat up to temp, give it a good thrashing etc.

Three weeks ago it came to the rescue of Mrs amc when her Captur did this

Mrs amc had the Corsa for work for a week and declared how good it is. She wanted to take it down to Devon to visit family but I'm precious of my baby so I made her take the Doblo (after it had a deep clean). Mrs amc enjoyed the Doblo too.

All hasn't been plain sailing with my late 90's vehicle. The biblical rain in late 2025/early 2026 found it's way in and soaked the boot area. (Thought I had pics but haven't) That was cleared up with the spot washer and a week with the dehumidifier. I'm pretty sure it was coming in via the top part of the boot/hatch seal. I'm loathe to replace the seal though. Is there any magic potion that restores rubber seals?

If Shitefest 26 happens it will be taking me to Cornwall. There is also a chance it may take me to visit mates in north Scotland (an hour north of bloody Inverness!) but I'll see.

In it's on street resting position.

It will get a good wash and machine polish in due course - promise!

Lovely! :)

I hope the on street resting position includes it having a Crooklock or similar in position to deter anybody looking for low hanging TWOC fruit! Do these get bangered at all, I know similar vintage Micras are popular in those circles currently…

Combining the two sounds like the perfect excuse to do LE-JOG!

I put some silicone lubricant on the seals on the 205 which seems to be keeping most of the rain out.

I did have a bit of a moment when the drain holes in the passenger door blocked again and three gallons of water flowed into the car when I braked.

Fortunately we don't have any car theft round here. I'm not into banger racing so don't know about that.
