Sunday shenanigans

This should be a collection thread but as I haven't seen the car in person yet, watch this space! This will involve multiple modes of transport and quite tight timings to meet my outbound connections. Praying no delays or the whole thing will collapse.

Obligatory breakfast pic.

Ham sandwich coz I couldn't be arsed making bacon. Hot cross bun coz why not. Cold brew coffee which I hadn't tried before. Okay but weird after taste. 6/10.

A black cab to here.

Was attempting to make an earlier connection but failed by about 3 minutes! New planned arrival time at the other end gives me an hour to make my final connection, which should be do-able, providing there's no hold ups en route 🤞

There's a chap sitting behind me in the waiting area commenting that his Greggs big softie is "absolutely smashing. That's a belter!" 😆

Now have a very plush window seat near the front, on my 2nd last connection of the day.

Made it to Carlisle to fuel the Ellie with Momentum after a brief stop at Charnock Richard to fill me with caffeine and egg sarnies 😁 Planning for this to be my last stop before home, unless I start flagging.

Fuel wise, it has averaged 25mpg so far. A little off my target of 30 so will see what I can do on the last leg 😊

Running well aside from a highly alarming racket coming from the driver's front wheel. I don't think wheel bearing as it's not droning on the motorway, sounds more like something rubbing but it also squeaks at low speeds when steering. Not sure if the 2 are related but I'm thinking a back plate rubbing or contaminated/delaminated pads. They were done recently but I'm told Elgrands are heavy on their pads and you're doing well if you get a couple of years out of them. Caliper doesn't appear to be sticking as that side is no warmer than the other.
