CC trade sales

Quite a few BCA auctions sell cars for a company called CC trade sales.Don't know how many of you know that this company is infact "we buy any car.com".Peterborough BCA have been listing these cars on their website for a few weeks now as webuy have opened an office here.Auctions for these cars are on Wednesdays and today I was at the auction so had a sniff around CC's stock.I spotted a Mazda Xedos 9,the 2.3 Miller version, it's quite nice as it happens a '99 V.reg but with 127k miles.Tonight I logged on to BCA's website for more info (not much at all) and jotted down the reg number.I then asked "webuyanycar" for a valuation. The top value was 375,well I am going to the auction on Wednesday so let's see if I can buy it for anywhere near that price.

I put "Webuyanycar.com" to the test by putting in for a valuation on my recently-acquired £50 Volvo.... They quoted £70 for it, hmm, maybe next week when it fails its MOT..... :lol:Dad's fairly leggy '51-plate Passat TDI (coming up to a quarter of a million miles but looks and works like a 2 year old, 50,000 miler) was also entered and they came back with a value on that which would have represented a £300 profit on what he gave for it a year ago.He always was a jammy old bugger.....

The "salesmen" in the office work on commission. The more they can knock off the original quote the more they earn. Then there is the 50 quid admin charge and to top it off you have to leave the car with them and get a bank transfer five working days later.A friend of mine has a forecourt in Peterborough and due to this five days delay he has bought a few cars from people responding to webuy's ads.People who use this service either want rid of rubbish or are desperate for cash.If the car checks out ok he buys there and then with cash.I would think his is not the only car sales forecourt benefitting from webuyanycar.Their quotes are always less than auction prices. If desperate people do contact my friend he has the chance to test drive any potential purchase which you can't do at auctions.

Or, like us, we couldn't be arsed with joe public wanting to kick tyres, moan, not show up, haggle down to bugger all, etc... so got it sold promptly to them.Job done - everyone happy.

Made a pretty olong trip to a not so local BCA a couple of months ago, when I was looking for a 156 for Mrs S, as the BCA website had thrown one up that fitted the bill. Was being offered for sale by the UK Car Group, a seller which the auctioneer said "will be putting 200 cars a week through here soon"Anyway, it was a pig. Front end damage, two bald tyres, history & MOT not present, and basically looked like it had had a quick polish to hide the previous owner's total neglect. Hammer fell at a strong for the state of the car £2900.The next week, the same car was relisted on the BCA website at another auction site close to the first, still being sold by UK Car Group. Hmmmm.....Oh, and most of the other UKCG stock going through was shit as well.

Well the Mazda was bid upto 375.Due to nine owners and a pressurising water system I didn't buy it.Think it was provisional anyway.
