Will depend on how the kit car chassis was registered and if sufficient parts are retained (for points) to go down as a body swap. If the original was Cortina based then registration wise there's enough points.

Forget trying to get it through the BIVA route

For loads more detail about just how far you can push it but stay legal and retaining the original reg look up Dez's Hudson pickup build on retro rides

Yep all the cortina running gear it was a Sherwood pickup/ estate built in the mid 80's cab part was rotten as a pear due to living by the coast for 20 ish years.

So basically a body swap.

I am going to enjoy following this, look good, regards handle, weld over hole and solenoids to open doors, or is that not autoshite?

It's going to be a rat rod look but with an English twist IE old UK number plate to cover hole on wing tartan rug instead of stars n stripes for headliner etc .

So any suggestions to the op.

I love this!

I’m sure this is going to sound rude, I don’t mean it to, to me it looks a lot like an oversized wheelbarrow bumming a London cab. Which isn’t a bad thing.

Would those rear arches spin round the other direction? They make the rear axle appear too far back.

Axle not in right place yet
