What a great car, small headlights one too! The only example I know of in Scotland is in the Riverside Museum XLL868G. I think its been in their collection since the 1980s.

According to wikipedia they weren't assembled in Ireland, I guess they would have come directly from France, like the UK ones did.

So this arrived today. Will update better later on, but I’m very happy. All electrics are working, doors open and close nicely, no cracked lenses etc.

This was under the front seat!

They sold reasonably well in Norway if I remember correctly and come up for sale here every now and then. This is one for sale now.

I checked the image archives here but strangely enough I found no Renault 8 cars but lots of pictures of the Renault Dauphine and thought it would be appropriate to post this one here now. 1960  Renault Dauphine with Oslo license plates during the Easter holidays in 1962 in Oppland county on typical Norwegian rural roads during the spring thaw at this time.
