Spotted that, then turned over to watch "Heat". First scene I saw had a very rusty and totally shite Datsun 120Y Coupé...

There was also another showing of the Italian Job on Film4 last night. Some great AS all through that;Thames "dormobile", more Fiats than you can shake a stick at and the Italian version of an Austin Cambridge that falls off the transporter.

I can never tell. Perhaps someone on here will be able to answer that. From the exterior trim and the wheels etc it certainly looked different to UK spec, hence my query on it's identity.

I last saw it a few years ago but I think it was a Cambridge with rotten door bottoms, and it landed on a Pug of some sort. Ill have to scan youtub and check now, its bugging me!

Just watching "Mutiny On The Buses" and have seen some great spots, including a 1960's Skoda Octavia Kombi (that's an estate version of the ORIGINAL Octavia) RARE as RARE can be.... (in front of the "Union flag" painted bus, just as it pulls into the safari park)With the exception of Steven Lewis (AKA "Blakey" the inspector) I think all the main actors are dead now!

Olive's still alive - met her a few years back, nice lady!Looking on the IMCDB, there's a Skoda Octavia Kombi the same colour that appears briefly in Carry On Camping - wonder if it's the same one?

Yeah, Reg Varney died a couple of years ago, aged 198 or something.Ive been told that the On the Buses film was shot in Rhyl, north Wales. Dunno how true/interesting that factoid is.

On a similar vein, "Blott on the Landscape" is fantastic for both autosh*te spottage and Benny Hill moments involving some very "established" actors. For example, in no particular order, a naked George Cole being subjected to bondage by a kinky Julia MacKenzie, Simon Cadell's government "limo", Blott and Jimmy Nail's drunken rampage in a digger smashing up tonnes of Euro sh*te. Well worth a watch. It's also very funny and very "eighties".

Apparently she was a stripper in the 1950s - Olive, that is, not a Skoda that features in Carry On films.Oh, and Reg Varney was the first person to use a cash machine, in an Enfield branch of Barclays, in 1967.

Worth a fiver for the dvds?

Abosuletly - it's a bit stilted in parts and the feel of the filming is a little "old fashioned" but it's brilliant - farce, slapstick, political and class based satire, gratuitous (and strictly un-necessary) nudity and tonnes of autosh*te. It's brill. PS hope i'm not overegging it.
