Wonder if he tried the "Already sold" trick as stated in his negative feedbackHope you get it Pete

read his negative feedback :!:

That's the bloke this chap bought it from. Person I've won it off has no negative feedback :)I was merely pointing out that he's only had it two months, and it appears to have had that X300 reg plate, so it might me ok.. just a bit unloved.

Think you've done very well with that Pete, seems a right bargain to me.

On the original listing it says "not sold with this plate the reg will be PGO" saw it the first time and yes I saw his feedback too.Do like it and hope you get it.First one I owned had an inbuilt footwash in the passenger's side. After it had rained I often asked passengers "get me that cassette out of the glovebox ,will you" SPLOSH. Front 'screen leaked and would fill the glovebox

Superb! I always wanted a carbed VDP in black despite owning some nice Vitesses and a beast of a 4.5i. I've had loads of these but they do take alot of fettling.I see it has a Rimmer Bros Sports exhaust-they're nearly the cost of the whole car to buy new if you've got the tubular fanimolds on it. Compomotive wheels are a rare choice, I have a set of them somewhere in SD1 fit.I find the headroom piss poor in these and things aren't helped when the headlining is tired of staying up.

This is my third SD1. First was a 7 yr old, 50k mile 2600SE Auto that very nearly put me off them. Very tidy to look at, although it did have a bit of rot along a couple of door bottoms, abysmal on fuel, much worse than a Vitesse, I never managed to get more than 19 mpg from it, and the self levellers had bit the dust on it so it ended up with 2000 springs'n'shocks at the back. Horrifically bad car with that straight 6.Second was my beloved B reg Vitesse manual which was written off by some dozy bint in an accident courtesy car. Konis all round, stainless pipe, TVR motor, bigger brakes, etc. The old bloke I bought it from had fitted a bloody awful "Hurricane" camshaft and rhodes lifters to it so it rattled badly in town and didn't have much of the legendary V8 low down torque but once the thing was above about 3000 rpm it flew. It also averaged 33 mpg on a sensible run to Newmarket from Liverpool...As soon as I can sort a lift to collect this one, it's off to the bodyshop to get painted and I'll start to get it right. I seriously regret not fixing the Vitesse when it was damaged.
