It's not the shine you want it's the depth of the shine and removal of said scratches!

Does become its whole separate little money pit though so maybe stick to the tcut...

it really is in fantastic condition apart from a few scratches

i'm not in any rush to sort it

i've done around 400 miles in this now i'd say since Tuesday

so, time to list the problems i've found

o/s/r door lock often doesn't lock or unlock with the remote

slight, and i mean very slight rattle from the centre console

i can't find any other faults

now the bonnet does need paintwork, as it has some laquer peel and poor touching up

i'm actually going to take it to a bodyshop for that!

i think this is a win, a massive bloody win!

getting a service next week

Shouldn't take more than a quick waft over now you've put a nice layer of base coat on 👌

i'd imagine it's rather easy to sort

however i note i have some accidental primer overspray on the lower rear bumper

i presume t-cut or similar will get that off?

It looks a lovely car!

With low-mileage cars like this, it might be worth getting the timing belt replaced (unless you know when it was last done of course).

I bought a V-reg Rover 200 BRM on 29k a couple of years ago and it was on its original belt! Presumably because the previous owner was told it would be fine for 60k! Needless to say it was replaced immediately.

it was replaced in june......

aux belt wasn't done, but that looks like new still

it's really been cared for, all of the common things have been done

i never buy cars like this!

This really is a truly excellent theft bargain

I’m thoroughly convinced that wafty green-blooded (and green painted in this case) motors are the way forward

chodspeed!

yes, green cars need to come back!

Sounds terribly new-fangled. What’s next?! Steel springs!?

Conventional brakes on the C5 too!

mind you; the brakes on this bite instantly, they feel tons better than my red one ever did

Brakes feel almost like the XM!

Done quite a few miles in this since I picked it up

i really cannot fault it at all, I’ve really done well

anyway, rear drivers side door, doesn’t always lock or unlock

seemed to lock itself whilst it was open today as though it didn’t detect the door being opened

interesting…….

one thing i will say about this one

the seat's seem an awful lot more comfortable than my red one

also the suspension, hydractive 3+ in this with extra spheres, it seems to be an awful lot better

i dare say it rides a bit better than the XM!

I don’t think I’m going to daily drive this, it’s much too nice!
im happy enough with my t cut polishing this afternoon, really brought out a good shine to the metallic green paint
So.... you have a C5 and an XM.

And you're dailying the XM and keeping the 5 for best???

Brilliant!

Yes

im an absolute nutter

doing it the complete opposite to how normal people would

mind you normal people wouldn’t have an XM and a C5 they’d have a sensible modern Hyundai

There's enough xm's in collectors hands nowadays, probably not as many c5's

C5 is very much the “unloved” hydro

theyll be mega rare in a few cars, can’t really see anyone preserving them yet
