The website doesn't do the Myvi justice. It's a tidy looking car, being a straight rip of the Daihatsu / Subaru, and is actually pretty good anyway.(does anyone else see the irony in a MORRIS ITAL fan ripping ANYTHING for being factory shite?)

Oh no, I freely accept that the Morris Ital has to be one of Britains automotive lowpoints and a truly appauling car, I have never met anyone with anything positive to say about it!As for Perodua, I tarrred them with a over-sized brush the Myvi, whilst having one of those strange doesn't really mean anything ad sounds strange names, is a well styled car. However they are built for the shite end of the spectrum, old giffers not willing to pay over about 50p for a car etc!m0rris

I think the Ital is underrated. After all it does get from 0-60 quicker than a Merc 200 and yet costs less to insure than a Renner 5.

I'm kind of curious to see what these peroduas are actually like as it seems the company does no in-house design work at all, effectively making their cars simply re-badged, Malaysian assembled Daihatsu models. If their assembly work is of a high standard then they could actually be a bit of a bargain as Daihatsus are pretty reliable cars.

They should sack all the dealers and sell them direct in the same way as Kirby cleaners or Stannah stairlifts. Just appoint a few mobile mechanics and Halfords service centres to do the warranty work. The way people buy cars is due for a change.

I dread to think what the customer service is like.A friend of mine bought a brand new Kia Picanto a couple of years ago. When he went to collect it, the salesman just took his money and slung the keys at him. No demonstration of the controls. The car was so empty of fuel he had to go back and ask where the nearest station was!! At Merc, the sales guys HAVE to offer a full 2 hour hand over procedure when a customer collects their new car!

They're fine. As I recall, the engines are sent over as a whole unit so it's just a case of putting all the big bits together. Certainly never heard them to be a problem, though they tend to have "interesting" interiors compared to their Daihatsu equivalent.

NO, NO, NO. There used to be (and hopefully still is) a delightfully shite garage in Burbage near Hinckley which not only sold them but had a sign up at the front saying that they also sold Ladas (and something else, I've forgotten what). I would far sooner go to somewhere like that than have smarmy PITA salesman (as Kirby, I'm a good few years off Stannah so no experience of them yet ) taking root in my lounge.

As i did work experience in a Suzuki and Kia dealership i can tell you all they care about is MONEY !and making as much as possible, whilst loosing as little as possible.If i recall a certain Kia Sorento (with stupid stickers on the wheels) kept coming in with an electrical fault (TPS - Throttle Position Sensor was goofed)and they did everything in the name of the lord to try and NOT replace it.Lets just say after a nice wipe over with brake and clutch cleaner it certainly looked new but performed well as good as broken.And they ordered too much stock so certain items had to be tossed around to pretend they were from a broken car. This saved them having to pay for the parts due to warrenty (I don't know how but something to do with it being a franchise).All in all my own experience with Kia is SHIT.Ooh and did i mention Swifts love to eat rear wheel bearings ?

Lol! I know the dealer you're talking about. I remember them shitting themselves when Wirral B.C started plating Eurocabs as taxis and their sales of Sedonas ground to a halt with private hire drivers.I must say a couple of their sales staff were coke fuelled bellends who couldn't understand why I didn't want to buy a car when it broke down on a test drive.

Finally - somebody gets it!!!My 2 Nippas were great, started first time every time, and didn't have bits falling off all the time. Worst thing about them is the radio/speakers - which are installed in the uk by the dealers!Oh, and it was a Kelisa that Clarkson brutally abused on TV.What a cockhead.

I hired a Kelisa for a fortnight in Mauritius once (cost about £35 a week...)I loved it. Closest thing to a proper mini i've driven since my MG Metro. Alright it didn't have the power of the Metro but you could run around in it's basicness all day long with the engine screaming away on the redline, and it didn't seem to care. It was good fun to chick about on the mountain roads too.
