Please help me identify this car!

Hi all, a friend has asked me what this car is and I have no idea...

All I know is that the picture was taken in London, probably the late '60s. I hope somebody can help!

Sorry for the poor quality picture, it's a pic taken on my phone of an old photo which had been printed onto normal paper...

I'll guess at 63/64 model Chevrolet (did they do them in rhd for export

Definitly American. Don't think there have ever been any UK four door pilarless cars. (I reckon those doors are too short for a two door)I R THUNK POG is in the correct vicinity.

It seems the 62/63 Impalas are VERY close...The 4 doors are not pillarless though (but the 2 doors are and it might be a 2 door...) and they seem to have 'pointier' front wings in pics from the same angle.

nope. door handles in the wrong place for a 63/64. also the swage lines are different. looks like a 62, Operah is standing in front of the dog-leg, but the dash looks wrong for any chev of that period. hmmm...

I thought it was a Corvair for a second, but the handle position is wrong.Tricky!

I'm glad it's not just me, I expected someone to get it within seconds and make me look stupid!

I'm with the Impala vote here.

I was thinking Rambler because of it's size and the fact they had a dealer network in the UK.

If not Chevy then could it be an Olds? Or whatever else they built on the same body? Could explain wing differences.

I'm thinking Ford Galaxie 500, They was exported to the UK during the 60's.

Thats my thoughts , available in 64 / 65 in RHD from Canada ,

Door style for a galaie looks right, but there's extra 'fancy' that we should be able to see.

Also, is it just me or does the door/sill area actually come out quite a bit right at the bottom creating almost a step. Very odd if it does.

AAAAHHHHHHHHH !!!!! This Is driving me nuts, I just cant find it. So many are close, especially the Galaxie, but that heavy swage line down the centre of the door rules them out :x

Me too. I'm looking at off brands as well.

But something good has come! Check out these two Studebaker concepts!
