That 205 GiT[sic] is well floating my (slightly enbriated) boat. I would very much like to put that in my garage and then prod it every six months or so. I do need to own another 205 at some point.

Would be worried about the valve seats, but mechanically, they're fairly robust. Hasn't Wuv still got one?

Nope, mine went some time ago. Gearbox died and I couldn't find a replacement at the time.

Hey this is class! £2000 is a lot to pay to look like Hirsts big brother though.

Alternatively just be Vicsmith and you can have those rights for nowt, I think we have been asked if we're brothers at least 300 times now. Including today!

 

That Roadmaster is superb, there's one at the local American car place in full-on Family Truckster spec and it gives me goosebumps as I drive past.

Heres a fairly rough but interesting early 205 GTi, could be a good project to steadily get it back up to scratch, be a cool old thing when it was done.

Chrikey, it has the first gen dashboard and a BE1 'box.

It worries me though when a 205 rusts in those areas. Would be a nice piece of kit when done though, I agree.

I'm sure that was advertised on eBay a couple of years ago now at a breakers yard. The seller had been royally pissed about by people offering to buy it whole then not showing up.I seem to recall he only wanted about £200 for it too. Pretty sure there's only like three of these left now, it'd be fucking criminal to see it not put back on the road.
