Go for it Dicky, It's better than that old Traveller you looked at the other day, plus it's low mileage and 1 old duffer from new!.

These Crabs are great, i'm using mine every day and apart from a never ending stream of unexpected component failures and bizarre behavioural traits its GR10.

It's a very late 18/85. Any later and it would be a Six! :)Let us know how you get on.

1995 Citroen XM 2.1TD SX

Modern barg, I can see these being future classics like the CX, I haven't seen one for a long while now.

this is in my works car park right now, having collected it this morning! It's lovely.

Needs new spheres and a tyre and I see no reason why it should fail its next MoT.

A bargain! Super smooth luxury barge - it even does 45-50mpg!!

Nice one! I'd make a coolant change a priority too, keeps the head gasket happy.

it will get that in a week or so - it already has a full history. Bounces a bit - but we all know they don't need much to sort that out.Having looked round it properly, it needs:spare tyre replacednew tyre on front nearside (sounds like two new fronts to me with the other front becoming the spare)a good wash - it has spent most of its life garaged but really needs a proper valet (and I can't believe I just said that, as I'm not known for cleaning cars)new spheres or the spheres rechargedthe LHM is lovely and clean, engine was serviced at 100,000, so could do with it again soon. Was looking at it for the last four days and thinkingBX or XM, BX or XM, BX or ... phone, view, buy.It came with a half tank of diesel so that's £50 worth at today's prices and I didn't haggle on the price. It was already cheap as chips!Talking about chips, Bosch or CAV/Lucas? Does anyone know?

I can't imagine that being very safe in a crash.

Mind you it is only a rolling chassis that he's selling now, Maybe it didn't past it test?

I assumed your Pug was going to Manchester tomorrow so thought I'd buy a new toy.I won't be running it on SVO then. It should do heading for 50 cruising at 55-60 on the motorway.

Some, if not all, 2.1 XMs have a Bosch pump.

Wonder how long until this is painted Matt Black and hit with a stick and has a Irn-Bru can nailed to the bonnet.

Pre-facelift ones I think.
