I didn't know these existed:

been standing since and wont start but it turns over and fires
:?:?:?

not knowing that these existed was probably a good thing. I love the mk2 Cavalier but IIRC these contain significant amounts of things like towbars in their construction to stop them flexing...

Its defo just not closed properly.

That's what I'd love to believe.

That Maser's definitely bent, I recoken it's been rammed pretty hard from behind, It's hid it well but I can see that being a Dozer job to straighten.

That's what I fear.

With reference to the recently reappeared 'Futureshite' thread...

Come to Fife for class "It Won't Take Much To Fix, Honest Mate" nonsense.

Fiat Croma with EML issues.

V6 Magentis on gas, with jiggered suspension. Not unusual on these shitty roads...

Or nip over to Auld Reekie and become the toast/curse of your local Subaru dealer;

Subaru SVX. Sitting at £700 on a no reserve auction. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

There again, the ABS and TC lights are on in this one, and the speedo doesn't work. What could possibly have gone wrong already?

Omega CDX V6. And how much worse could it get?

Answers to any/all of the above, on a postcard to "My Credit Card Just Exploded, PO Box 999, Disaster City, UF1 2FO"

Vehicle Speed Sensor. It'll be either the wire has fractured, the sensor has gone dicky or simply a bad connection. Piece of piss to put right. Bargainous. What he's failed to mention is that the cruise control also doesn't work, the kickdown will have done mental and if it's got speed sensitive power steering that will have gone all weird as well.

Oh, and if anybody's wanting any crusty rubbish taking down to places where there's no Irn-Bru or square sausage...

'Shite recovery North Britain will do it for diesel. Delivery times dependent on how many times the Ministry stop to dip the tank for cherry, vs how fast she'll go down Shap with the Aberdeen Overdrive on.

Thanks for that Pete, must store that away for future reference as I'd fancy an estate one of these someday.

We had a number of 3.2 V6 Omegas when I was a copper, and one of the soft-skin (not armoured) liveried ones always had the EML on. Didn't slow it down, though. 4 up we "caught" a stolen Calibra Turbo in Andersonstown. Full Police Camera Action stuff, it was fucking brilliant fun. The driver of the stoley ended up getting creamed by an armoured Land Rover. You HAVE to drive a police car before you die - it IS as much fun as it looks.

And you simply HAVE to outrun a plod 24v Senator and a GSi 2000 Cav on a Yamaha FZR1000 exup. 8)

An Aberdeen Overdrive is the device that automatically makes you pass VOSA checkpoints so you don't get tugged for any of that 'MOT exempt' bollocks the seller is quoting.
