Like the fact that it says merely that it is galvanised. What is? The crazy cross member? The windows? The seats? Four bolts?

 

It is worded slightly like a scam email, with a most interesting use of English. I'd check it out in the metal...

THE GENTLEMAN WHO BOUGHT IT WANTED TO SHOW IT BUT SADLY HE PASSED AWAY IN SEPTEMBER.

 

WE WERE CONTACTED BY HIS ESTATE LATE SEPTEMBER WHO THEN ASKED WOULD WE BE INTERESTED IN BUYING IT BACK WE TOLD THEM YES BUT WE HAD NO ROOM FOR IT AND COULD WE LEAVE IT WHERE IT WAS FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS

 

DURING THIS TIME WE GOT A CALL FROM HIS DAUGHTERS SAYING THEY HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE CRUSHED BY ANOTHER COMPANY.

 

WE BEGGED THEM NOT TOO AND THEN ONLY WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TO BE SOLD OR GO BACK ON THE ROAD THEY AGREED WE COULD BUY IT BACK FOR SPARES.

 

WE TRULY UNDERSTAND ITS A CRIME TO DO SUCH A THING BUT WE SAVED IT FROM THE CRUSHER

 

WE DID NOT ORIGINALLY POST THIS MESSAGE

 

AS WE WANTED TO ASK THE ESTATE 1st

 

I HOPE THIS NOW EXPLAINS CLEARLY THE REASONS

I thought there was something odd about it - pretty sure I've seen a Landy like that for sale somewhere else. Which is how they do it of course - pinch a load of pics from the interwebz and scams away!

After being refused a phone no. or a chance of a viewing, I replied

OK, you're clearly as bent as a 9 bob note! Good luck with your SCAM.

 

And recieved the reply...

Q: WOW, how clever you are. I fed up from time wasters ans dreamers, that's why not giving my phone number out. and I was absolutely right in this case!!! your next email will be reported to ebay, no joke!

That looks like a reasonable outcome for a Dutton if you ask me, if he hadnt done that with it it would only be sitting in a yard with shite piled up on it like all other Duttons.

That 'mutton' would work a lot better if you tore off the god awful macpherson struts, did something with the servo and lobbed some double wishbones on it.. I'd drive it then! :)
