Ebay Tat Volume 2 - Sadly deceased.

I used to pass an Olds Cutlass of that vintage on the way to Whitwood, until one day it was gone - subsequently turned up on a car lot renowned for selling some weird stuff (the one who bought a Maestro off eBay for buttons and then tried to flog it for a grand without putting it through a test). That one is white under the bonnet, might be the same one! Looks pretty cosy inside mind.

What a honey!!!

a thieving scumbag took a fancy to my Princess in April 2009 and took her for a 40 mile spin.

At least they didnt burn it out, maybe they quite liked it. Obv one for the older joyrider who laments the decline of motor manufacturing in the UK.

he's not giving it away like at £700, no test and something about the pics suggests its not moved for a little while, (despite his assurance that it drives great)

Only 4 days left on this, no bids yet so he has intelligently upped the start price to £900, that should get 'em rolling in.

Being the TXE it has a great specification with Electric windows and the all important Voice Synthesizer.

Bet thats a right laugh.

'PLEASE FASTEN SEATBELT'

'BRAKE FLUID LEVEL LOW'

'TAIL LIGHT BULB NOT WORKING'

'HEATER FAN ECU CRASHED, NEEDS REBOOT, PLEASE CONNECT USB CABLE TO DASHBOARD AND MOTHERSHIP'

'ALL ELECTRIC WINDOWS STUCK HALFWAY DOWN. DO NOT PARK IN HIGH CRIME AREA'

'AUTOMATIC GEARBOX WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN 376 KM, PLEASE PROCEED TO RENAULT DEALER (TAKE CREDIT CARD)''

etc etc

'

The brother had a R25 with the electronic nagging. Most amusingly (for me) when it died in a cloud of steam and flying metal fragments and both he and it were sitting folornly on the hard shoulder, his wait for the AA was acompanied by:

"#BONG# OIL PRESSURE LOW, #BONG# WATER TEMPERATURE HIGH, #BONG# OIL LEVEL LOW, #BONG# WATER LEVEL LOW, #BONG#OIL PRESSURE LOW,#BONG# WATER TEMPERATURE HIGH,#BONG# OIL LEVEL LOW" Etc etc etc

I had the "Fuel level, low" message from my old Safrane as my mobile's text alert for a while.

At the risk of a re-post bollocking, have we had this delightful conveyance before?

Thats unbelievable, looks like he has slapped an electric fan motor straight on the front of tthe gearbox!!! You just know there'll be no additional support for the gearbox now the engine's not there, the whole lot will almost certainly flap about and knock like a mutha.

UTTER SHITE!

I actually quite like those early Mk5 Escorts, and I haven't seen one for ages...

I used to have a K reg 1.4LX in that metallic red, and it was OK. Steering was ridiculously heavy though.

Allow me to read between the lines. "Wheels and suspension originally cost £5000" means that the current owner found them in a breakers yard after they've been on four different cars, kerbed to fuck, and badly painted. Oh, and after making up a price off the top of their head, I fail to believe any wheels and suspension this side of the lunar frickin' rover cost 5 large.

That MX6 is ruined.

Why would you make a replica Land Rover? It's not as if they're rare or expensive, although I guess if you did want to create your own it's slightly easier to fabricate flat panels

I'd love to be all over this hunny, £2500 sounds good if it's really as nice as it looks in the photos, I know someone who's of to look at it in the morning.

i remember as a kid my neighbour had a dark blue one of these... looking all yankie like with the tail fins and chrome
