......and after my experience with that Mitsubishi on Sunday I'm a bit mojo'ed out at the moment.

Keep your pecker up Trigger. Come and have a drive of my Laurel at some point soon (not that it's for sale!). Old cars are fun, and drive like modern ones don't.

On the subject of Datsuns, there's a decent-looking 1981 Bluebird with T&T on the Datsun forum for £700 in Essex.

The "Mitsubishi on Sunday" wouldn't be that blue Celeste that was for sale on RR by any chance?

I can't get on to the Datman site at the moment - I login then it logs me out when I click on the forum links..... :?:

The link to my exciting weekend is HERE.

Plus the original advert on RR HERE and even his readers rides thread HERE.

Not in one of those photos does it look anything like it does in real life, oldford can vouch for that, I was expecting something as nice and tidy as spottedlaurel's lovely Laurel (Try saying that out loud three times!). It was more mushey then a pear that's been on the window sill for a fortnight.

1993 Peugeot 205 1.4i GTX

I'm surprised this hasn't sold yet, These are cracking cars and being a GTX i guess it must have all the toys fitted, It even has a years mot and 6 months road tax for £700.

no car is for sale in this auction, upon winning the auction a copy of this ad will be sent to you via e-mail.

Great way to waste some money on a listing fee then, cock-basket.

I think that this deserves to get some bids, so he has to pay some extra fees too.

Q: Absolute class! Very funny, made my day after trawling through car after car! Pure genius! thanks mate

A: Thanks, But it is as bad as it says! :)

I actually half considered going to view the car until I saw that bit about the e-mail. Not that I necessarily wanted a pink AX - just to see if the vendor was as big a t0sser as it appears from the ad. Given the e-mail gubbins, they might not even own the AX.

No doubt some fool will end up buying an expensive e-mail and bragging about it down the pub.

WTF is in that box? It looks like that 240 is pulling a wheely!

I used to drive a few Integra's that shape about 10 years ago and remember them being a pretty decent motor, The EX-16 was quite a flyer from what i remember.

I can't see parts being of any issue neither as most are shared amongst the rest of the range, Jap parts specialists Blueprint should still make them all and be stocked by your local motor factors.

Just ask Mr_Bo1, He had one until recently.

No metalwork is available, but everything else can be bought from any motor factor. That looks decent from the pics and I would say the price is very reasonable, spesh if it still has its original sills and rear arches!

That's a real bummer, both the accident and the condition of the car in the flesh. I see there is a chap on RR saying how solid the car was etc too!

One thing that I never liked about my Celeste was the brakes - absolutely pitiful, I'd go as far as to say the most pathetic brakes I've ever used.

Next worse car for braking power is my '95 Nissan 240SX, it beggars belief that it has discs front and rear

Maybe I should get the braking system from a KIA Picanto, as the brakes are phenomenal :D

Thanks Trigger, Mr Bol

1988 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 L

"BEFORE I GOT THE CAR THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD REMOVED THE ENGINE AND GEAR BOX AND KEPT THE CAR IN DRY STORAGE FOR THE LAST 17 YEARS!!!"

What an inexplicable thing to do.
