I think they're a bit overoptimistic with that starting bid for that 128. Alright, it's an interesting car, but it's an old shitter without much of a classic following, plus it needs work.

Maybe they're just trying to 'scare' the owner into doing something about it and don't actually want to sell it? I don't think selling a car like that is a clear-cut as they'd like it to be...

Its only £250! How much do you reckon is a fair price? £100 is my favourite car price, but its a bit old-hat nowadays and is rarely used.

I'd start at scrap value. I agree it could end up selling for a bit over £250, but auctions don't normally work like that- you 've got to entice buyers with a low start...

Another BX 19 GTi, this one has 86k, a years mot and is up for £899.

That is literally down the road from me, in fact I bought my A90 Atlantic from that garage! It is super tidy and well worth the money I'd say. I was going to post some pictures of it on here actually, didn't realise he'd put it on Ebay.

Like this a lot, this is how all Minis should look. Pray to God it gets sold to someone who will leave it exactly as it is and not put some wank arches on it or bum rape a decent Metty for it's engine...

I wonder how many decent cars have lost their live's for a Mini "Project" over the years?. Twats.

Why do you think BMC 1100s are so rare these days? (well, ok, rampant rust too!). Metro is only the most modern version of the Mini engine donor. Then you've got K-Series powered vehicles these days too. Had a rant about engine donors on the inside back page of Classic Car Buyer recently. Really does my head in. In almost every case, the engine is taken from the better vehicle to make a shitter vehicle quicker. No, I don't want a 'red top' in my Nova, I'd rather have a Cavalier. Yes, your Pug 205 might be quick with a 16v lump in it, but I'll take the Citroen BX every time. Minis are crap - I'd rather own a beige Metro.

Oh dear. You are NOT going to like my plans for the 305, then. To be fair, the XU5 is shagged and it's certainly done closer to 148k than what the odometer reads. It will be worth it just to bait some arsehole TDi drivers in their Sportline & Tick Audis.

Mechanically they are pretty ok,,,,,but drop the clutch and the engine & box would probably head off without the body

These Passat GL5s are a bit thirsty but they go alright in a straight line. I had an 1800 hatchback a year newer and it was completely dependable, if a little dull.

I'm sure there's an excellent chance this will be driven around as-is, or just given a quick polish, some minor tidying done and then driven around for years. Oh dear, the sarcasm meter has just gone off the scale

IMPORTANT - ***NO POWER STEERING*.

On a 750kg car with 145 tyres on the front... wow, it's practically unusable

Here's another old Fiesta, this one's in classic Ford blue

I had one like this but in silver, it was brilliant but not as much fun as the 1500 single carb version I had.

Does your commute involve long motorway journeys at high speed, where economy and refinement are important? Do you need to project a high class image in the company car park? I'd suggest you start running very fast in the opposite direction from THIS

Am I the only one who thinks that a LADA NIVA looks like a pumped up Fiat 127 with the whole front end put on upside down?
