No, but I know where it is, and people who work there. The gearbox will be mint. If that thing has a floor pan I may just have to chuck a risky bid at it.

I'd love to have a go at that Bentley! How cool would it be, to drive around in such a beaten-up old heap of a six-figure luxury car! Bentley was my mother's maiden name too... :D

Just remember not to use DOT 4 to replace the leaked-out hydraulic fluid...

 

I agree that a ropey Bentley is a thing of beauty. Also a potential moneypit, but they certainly are breaking for decent coin these days...

That would be the plan, certainly: make it last a year, then take the spanners to it and turn parts into cash. Shame I'm so far away really, I'd be right on it otherwise. It's a level of temptation I simply wouldn't be able to resist. Yes, it would cost me a bucket of money in that year, but would be so worth every penny. And what price telling the grandkids "well after those two Cadillacs, I got my first Bentley..."? :D
