It looked a bit better then...

Must be a shame to see it looking the way it is now!

Looks like its come straight from 1988!!

It's better to see it looking uncared for than not see it at all!

Yup, I’ve checked the number on DVLA every so often and was pleased to see it still taxed or on SORN so I knew it was still around somewhere.

Seeing it like that is better than on the oval or going for export, and as they seem to be after decent money hopefully whoever gets it will do the right thing. I’ve sent a message off to the seller.

It was in excellent condition when I had it, despite having suffered a hit on the front which meant it had received new wings, bonnet etc (I had to fit the chrome trims, they obviously couldn’t get hold of any). When you consider that these cars were rusting away within 10 years of being brand new, for it to look like it does now isn’t so bad – it could have rotted away completely in that time. I used it in all weathers, it was my only car for most of the time.

It’s sitting on what look like Laurel alloys. As per my photo, I had NOS ones like that on it when it was mine but I fitted the original steels back on when I sold it for circa £500 in 1998 (and then it wasn’t a particularly quick sale). Funny that it should end up with a set on it again, they do suit this model well.

Here it is in my early days with it, sourcing a 5-speed ‘box out of a Bluebird SSS in the wonderful Medler’s scrapyard:

Re the 180, I asked a few questions, she's got a reserve on her of £800 and been sat for a year.

Shame.

More than I'd spend on a resto project knowing what can be hidden but for someone to smoke around and kill it's a bargain

WELCOME TO MY AUCTION FOR A FIAT 127 1050CL' date=' A VERY RARE CAR INDEED WHEN LISTING THIS THERE WAS NO OTHERS LISTED ,SO THIS IS THE ONLY 1 LISTED SO THAT PROVES THIS CAR IS NOW A DYING BREED

What a commanding use of the english language.[/quote']

I don't think advertsising your car as one of "a dying breed" is going to persuade Joe Public to press the bid button in a hurry...............

And there's now 3 Fiat 127s on the bay, so that's buggered that up as well

Ideal Mundano STD replacement Trig!

That Maestro van has been on my radar. Current thinking is that a van would be a handy tool while we renovate the house...

This little monstrosity caused me to burst out laughing at first sight, probably not the effect the seller hopes for... happy0009.gif

I keep finding myself eyeing up this rare Royale, According to the owner it won Billing car of the show back in 1999 and with a years ticket and being very local to me the £1395 or best offer is a bit too tempting!.

INNER WINGS! Don't buy one without very carefully looking at them, if you are really serious get in touch Bstardchild and maybe even get him to view it with you.

Or do what old 'PhoenixClub2003' (was that his name? Not sure now) off R-R did, use it for an autotest and see if the front wing/bonnet gap closes up to nowt after a days hooning! That guy was a legend.

£500 Camry

That's been on AutoTrader for yonks too. Makes me wonder why I've spent money on my V6 saloon (and may have to spend more) as I'm probably going to struggle to sell it when the time comes, but I'd rather not see it scrapped.

On a related note:

Done 222k! Has had a new engine though. Been written-off in the past and isn't nice enough to dissaude me from the one I've got on the way. First estate I've seen for a sale for a few weeks.

I think any car with 2 rear wipers has to be made out of the purest WIN!

Looking through the rear 'screen, it looks to me like the seller has another one!

I'd smoke this whilst listening to an audio cassette of Alastair Stewarts 'Police Camera Action' - Best Bits!

its been un-driven for the past ten years

Like a fine wine, petrol just gets better with age....

Crikey, petrol there must be expensive! I can only just get £80's worth in a Camry when I've run the tank right down, having owned one I'd say the tank in a Sunny is somewhat smaller...

Nice car though, I have a soft spot for them.
