I’ve always laughed at those Vanden Plas BL cars designed for Hyacinth Bucket types ( before Hyacinth Bucket was created). It wasn’t as if the basic car on which it was based wasn’t blindingly obvious.

I think The Allegro was the most desperate looking of the lot.

Well the hat is certainly the right shape - it this an early example of subliminal advertising aimed at the 'bucket' class?

@Muniphobia I'm intrigued...

Do you live in East Europe or perhaps Russia,? Or do you just have a preference for certain types of cars, or girls for that matter?

Nope, I live in the West Midlands and do have a preference for Ford Puma coupes.  I do have a preference for girls 😉

She appears to have worn out her hand deflecting all the unwanted attention.

I did have a 1.7 Puma which was great fun in the 10 years I owned it but the wheelarch rust was getting really bad and it needed a lot of money spending on it which was difficult to justify spending a lot of money on a 13 year old car (sorting the rust, all tyres needed replacing, it started to overheat on long journeys, it needed a full set of tyres) it also had the original exhaust, brakes and battery so they were going to need replacing too sooner rather than later.  So I ended up replacing it with a Subaru BRZ.
