I'm surprised the Spitfire costs more than the 1300 TC. Its the same engine but the Spitfire has a lot less bodywork wrapped around it. Likewise with the 2.5PI and TR6. It's almost as if they are charging more for the sports cars just because they can.

Also the image, I think. I had a 1300 TC, great car though wandery gear lever (yes, I know about the white bits). Spit had less weight tho, so faster & spendier.
