But can you see the connection? Yes they all feature western cars, registered and in what appears to be normal use in the USSR, which is quite a surprise. It would seem the USSR was not completely closed to western products. But I bet it was a hell of a job to get one.

I've also posted pictures of USSR registered western lorries in the 'truckshite' thread. But I suspect there's more practicality about this as they were often used on intercontinental deliveries and a western lorry would be easier to repair outside the USSR.
