I’ve used the FM transmitter connection, Mrs JJ’s is via aux as the socket on that is right next to it 5 minutes ago, Pat Earrings said: That’s a good song as well 😂 Yep, modern version of the streets! jonathan_dyane 1

JJ0063 Posted June 16 Author Posted June 16 Detachable towbar on the Connect is absolutely seized solid. I guess it’s just been left on for so long it’s made itself a permanent fixture. Taken the whole hitch off for now, @Barry Cade have you come across this style of detachable? Looks a bit of a shit design. Doesn’t appear to have a lock, just welds itself in place if it’s left on!

They're the ones you see on ebay for 80 quid delivered from Italy. If I remember correctly, you have to turn them through 90 degrees to release them. Smak it wif a big 'ammer. They're a bit shit. I can’t really say anything negative about them, I suppose the sound quality is slightly worse as it’s being transmitted either via aux or FM transmitter but it’s still very good for the money 👍 Supernaut 1

I can just lift a finger from the gear stick and hit the next track button...

JJ0063 Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 I know it’s very much each to their own but my Focus ST wheels arrived today and I think they look great. Need to order some different lockers as the transit ones don’t fit but overall very happy for £180 mercedade, tooSavvy, yes oui si and 7 others 10
JJ0063 Posted June 17 Author Posted June 17 Took it for a quick spin to make sure everything felt alright. Im biased I know but I think it looks bloody brilliant. Erebus, Tenmil Socket, AnnoyingPentium and 3 others 6
JJ0063 Posted June 20 Author Posted June 20 Old ply refitted, £15 off cut of vinyl floor from marketplace and we have a clean tidy floor which can easily be wiped of dog paw prints too! Chucked a storage box I had in garage and strapped it down just so I have a bit of storage in the back too until I build something. Much better tooSavvy, Matty, MrGTI6 and 4 others 7
JJ0063 Posted June 21 Author Posted June 21 Whos idea was it to wash the van in this fucking weather. Slightly overweight mid 30s ginger I sweat at the sight of a nice day let alone this: Anyway, engine bay came up lovely and it was nice to give the van its first wash in my ownership. yes oui si, High Jetter, Matty and 5 others 8
JJ0063 Posted July 21 Author Posted July 21 This van is one of my favourite purchases in a long time. It’s just great. I’ve been using and abusing it, it’s filthy at the minute. Just does everything I need but with the comfort of a car. Would recommend. Coprolalia, tooSavvy, scdan4 and 6 others 8 1
JJ0063 Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 OSR tyre has a slow puncture, NSR has a cut in the sidewall and all 4 are dated 2017 and look a bit perished so I’ve decided it to treat* it to a set of 4 budgets, also in a slightly higher profile. BARGAIN yes oui si 1
JJ0063 Posted July 26 Author Posted July 26 New tyres fitted, Halfords autocentres only took just over 3 hours…. Don’t. Matty and GrumpiusMaximus 2

I’ve had a couple of sets of those tyres on my car now and they’ve been absolutely fine. I use the Widnes National Tyres branch. The last time I went I paid a fiver extra when booking online for an agreed time slot on a Saturday for 2 tyres. Told me to return in an hour and half as they were short staffed.

Brand rings a bell! I think I paid £3 extra for this 11AM appointment too 😂 sat in the waiting room and eventually got my keys back at 2:40… 🤦♂️

Matty Posted July 26 Posted July 26 1 minute ago, JJ0063 said: Yep! Quieter too Ideal. Low profiles are bollocks for most days to day applications in my book. We've a Z4 Coupe on 18s, and ST150 Fiesta on 17s and an old Austin on 13" banded steels with chunky tires. There's only one that rides with a lovely compliance and it ain't either of the moderns 😁 JJ0063 1
