I want another Range Rover now!!!!

I'd been thinking about another for the last week, this video has made it even worse! nice.

He'd have been quicker if he'd gone straight from Hyde Park Corner to the Palace!I can't believe modern H&S would let them do that wrong way stuff at Traflager Square these days. They'd be sued or something.

Not seen that before - thanks for sharing, that was 7 and a half minutes of spotting joy:I'd say it was early 90s tbh as there were at least 2 K series Rovers seen.5 BXs including a Mk1 spotted - lots of Cortinas and I saw an MGB and I think an Austin 1100.Quite a lot of late 70s cars still in daily. Liked the mix too - the beige Cortina among the more compact 80s and 90s shaped traffic looked quite a stark contrast - it must have seemed like quite an old car even then.I'd quite happily hang out in that time.Need to watch a few more times to get more in depth spottage :)

I spotted the 1100 too. That car transporter has something old on the front? I thought we were in for an Italian Job scene for a moment then!

At first look I thought it might be a Mk1 Cavalier or a derivative....

awesome vis, spotted afew montego's, bx estate, mk2 festa's

Looked like a mk1 Escort. Bright yellow - Sport? Couldn't see any Mexico stripes.I lived in the Smoke around that time so that was a real trip down memory lane! It's surprising what roads you remember...

Wow, what an amazing video, I was on the edge of my seat!, Traflager Square seems a bit dodgy though but that V8 engine sounds lovely!.That was later than 80's i would say very early 90's, I saw a later shape Hiace van also saw a Mk 2 Granada Sapphire blocking his route at one point.

Calibra as well. 1989 at the very earliest!

Superb! Makes C'etait un Rendezvous look even more fake!

That motorway one shows how things used to be not that long ago. The police had shut just one lane of the carriageway to traffic. Imagine that scene nowadays. The whole lot would be closed for a good 20 minutes.

That's incredible, I drive less erratically than that in Grand Theft Auto IV!

Couple of R5's and Polo's spotted in the first vid

Posted

Talbot Samba in the first vid and and Isuzu Piazza in the second.the standard of driving in London does seem to be very poor.

Its made worse by the fact that alot of roads have no crossings! When I was there just before new year I nearly got run over twice, both by mercedes drivers.

It must be a stressfull job, I found myself shouting at the computer telling the tossers to get out of the way!

What great videos....that will be another few hours to lose!

The only way to do it! Blast through the traffic in the world's best vehicle! 3.5 sounds awesome too, I always thought they sounded better than the 3.9. Fantastic

Was the Rangie an auto? If so it may of been one of the early wanky 3sp jobbies.

Was an Phase 4 or 5 Rangie. Four spoke wheel and mid '80s dash. No anti-roll bars either. My old Turbo one would never squeal like that! It'll be the Torqueflight 3 speed auto box in it. If he'd done that with the ZF four speed it would have gone pop shortly afterwards.. I wanted the Torqueflight to put in the Turbo - as they'll take a lot more torque than the ZF will. ZF 4HP22s die when you put more than about 280 lb ft through them - my turbo was putting out a lot more than that. The ZF 4HP24 in the 4.6 P38a is stronger, but you have to make a hybrid box combining the 4HP22 and 4HP24 to put 'em in the Classic without having to rebuild everything else.I think the V8 sounds better with the 3 speed anyway, with the four speed the motor sounds weedier as it's changing gear all the time.
