Love your magazine by the way.  Seems others appreciate its quality too with copies of Issue 1 fetching between £50 - £100 on ebay.  (Possibly a better investment choice than the Gamma too?)

Thanks! I’m not the editor, only a contributor, my magazine was Motorpunk which now also goes for £££ on eBay.

Dug through the dross in WH Smith and found the magazine*. Good article, looking forward to a part 2  when you’ve found one. Needless to say Gamma Coupe want re-booted.

**Amazingly smelly ink/paper!

Thanks! I hope you bought a copy ;)

Next issue has a feature on a very unusual Ford in it from me, plus a write-up from Lemons, and I still hanker after a Lancia Gamma Coupé.

ps - good smelly or bad smelly? I love the weight and smell of a proper mag.

Hello old thread. A mate of a mate has just sourced this from Switzerland and is trying to sell it to me. I simply cannot afford it and don’t have any space at all unless it lives outside. Oh fuck.

In my experience they bring a lot of pleasure and a lot of heartache!

Great UK Club for them with decent spares supply and knowledge if you are part of the UK Gamma Consortium.

The Gamma Consortium are holding their annal Lunch near Aylesbury 26th January 2025, the photo is last years.

The white Berlina is mine and I think they are even better looking. Also Saloons cost just as much to repair and are worth less, always a good way to select a car!

But it wouldn’t; outside it would die.

**It must be the time of year.  I caught myself trawling for another Gamma coupe recently.
No indoor car space here either.

My other cars would also die outside. Someone, somewhere, should invent an ‘outdoor use’ car 😂

I have never been so terrified as I was when driving this Gamma very VERY carefully at the Field of Dreams.  One circuit, then parked; again, very VERY carefully...

When I briefly stayed in Aberdeen(late noughties) some absolute legend parked their gamma coop on the same street. It exhibited expected amounts of crispyness at the trailing edges.

Every Fiatista/Alfista/Lancista knows it is German parts failing, not Italian ones.

The word has it that root cause of 2.0 Twin Spark reliability problems are oil level/pressure sensors made by Bosch.

Una carrozza spettacolare 😍

For all the shit press they get, every single time I had an electrical gremlin or fault on my 156 it was, unmistakably, Bosch part not Magneti Marelli. Every. Single. Time.

You lot are a terrible influence, and I’m now looking at Lancia Gammas in Italy. It’s a good thing I don’t have the money in the bank that’s not dedicated to something already.

This one is on its way to the UK from Switzerland and will be for sale here soon. Please buy it and when it’s broken your heart sell it to me cheap…

Couple of problems with the plan

1) Missus would hang me by the bits if I bought another car before we finished paying for everything else.
2) Switzerland is closer to me than UK, so it’s traveling in the wrong direction.
3) I’ve never sold a car. Ever. That’s how I have 16. 🤣

If I buy one you’re welcome to come drive it though.

Spotted this on Facebook today.

I was literally about to say, where's serial Lancia victim/apologist Mr Buckley when you need him?

(I actually wouldn't be surprised to learn he's been on here a long time, given his taste in automotive woe!)

If it’s lived all its life in Switzerland it’s probably a good example.

I remember reading a buyers guide to Thema 8.32s a few years ago, it recommended buying one from Switzerland as only the Swiss could afford to service them properly!
