Excellent film. Nice to see the thorough 40 000 mile tests that were done to check the cars every componentSadly no one bothered to test them for rust resistance of which those 70s vauxhalls had none!

The place is still almost identical to the film, apart from the brick factory near the mile straight has gone and fousands of trees have grown.I worked there in the late 90's testing such wonders as nexia's, matiz, the odd Vauxhall and a far shite load of disco Mk2's.Needless to say we didn't get the opportunity of bursting our tyres at 70... they not built that well!!

Well, I WAS going to treat myself to an Aston this year, but if they handle that badly, perhaps I'll look out for a nice Skoda Estelle instead.

My boss has an Aston - he can't get into it when it's cold because the frameless windows freeze up and the motor can't drop them so you can open the door It's a bloody temperamental beast too.
