Shiters ahoy

Last time I was on, I had purchased a ratty old yank motorhome. Unfortunately covid, then hospital, now long covid, so lost the motorhome.

Next idea was to use some cash from the sale of my villa in Florida to spunk £33k on DB9, to be able to say I have owned an Aston.

Ex missus screwed that up, She wanted to change our her BMW 1 series Cabriolet that I bought her, for something with 5 doors. She was getting crap trade in values, as I have done all of the servicing for the last 6 years. So I now find myself in a situation of have bought the same car twice

So the fleet is now as follows -

2001 Mégane cabriolet, 79k, runs, needs MOT, only done 7 miles in the last 3 years

2006 Grand voyager, 188k, runs, needs MOT, gearbox needs rebuilt, ABS pump is fucked, and rear brakes need rebuild.

2008 Mégane 1.5 DCI, 175k, owned this since new. Fully legal. Been playing cambelt roulette for the last 35k. I have the bits in the garage to do this but I am a lazy fucker.

2011 BMW 120d cabriolet, 130k, fully legal. Chipped to 243bhp, which makes it interesting with the TC switched off! Check engine light is on, and the roof won't open properly. She didn't tell that when I bought it from her.

With my man maths; instead of taking the BMW to my local garage and pay £30 for a scan. I spunked £900 on a genuine X431 Pro plus scanner. Well I've not bought any tools recently.

So if anyone in the 3 counties need any codes read, it arrives on Tuesday.

It's been good to catch up on all of your threads

Cheers

Fraser

Hi mate, still in the same place. Hopefully getting a workshop in the next couple of months 4 miles down the road, when the lazy fucker finishes building new ones so I can move into one of the old ones. We can then have a meet there, and maybe even do some spannering.

Great stuff! Workshop eh? Nice! You wouldn't happen to know anyone around that area who has some under cover storage for about 4 cars? I've got storage here but its outside.

Yes the place I'm hoping to get a workshop from, has covered areas. That's where I was going to store the motorhome. Don't know what it will cost, but I can enquire during the week.

I had to buy the old one off her, for a deposit for her new one. Did I mention that I paid £15k for it 6 years ago

That'd be great but I don't want to impose if it means no space for your Motorhome. But if there is extra space, covered, it'd be great as the Rovers now desperately need cover from the elements.

I'm in Bewdley so not far away.

Motorhome fell through due to covid. There is plenty of space there.
