It doesn't accelerate as fast, nor does it corner as flat and planted but it really doesn't seem to matter. It's torquey, so you can jump out at junctions without sweat. I've never driven a 2.3 but I can't imagine that without a stop watch you'd notice much. It's just so endearing. The hype is true: you have to drive it to know but it's so comfy and smooth.
